I could not recommend The Dotty Behaviourist more! Dustie is a big part of my life but also my business! Her being as happy and comfortable in as many environments as possible is all anyone wants for their dog.
The Dotty Behaviourist came to help us when we noticed that this was not the case for Dustie and she has helped so much! With little improvements every walk!
We are very thankful and could not recommend more☺️

📣BREED FULFILMENT!📣 The dachshund, (aka cute little sausage dogs) are not always as cute and vulnerable as they are made out to be. It is a massive misconception that due to their size and cuteness, they are not as capable as the average bigger breed, leaving some not always reaching their full potential. In fact, they were actually bred to sniff out and hunt burrowing animals - most common was badgers. It is so easily replicated in our day to day lives! You can: 1. Hide their favourite toy - using cues so they know when they can seek it out. 2. Scatter feed in different environments. 3. Work on impulse control for the above as their pray drive is so high. All of the above can be so easily incorporated into your day to day life/walks. Why not give it a try (switching it up to suit your breed) and see the benefits in your dog☺️

There will never be a better feeling than the excitement your doggies give you before their walks😆

First walk of the year up the hill✅ And it was delightful😆☀️

My favourite thing to teach is ‘round’. It gets their brains working and you can see every step of them understanding what you’re asking of them!!! I wonder how far away we can get with this one🙌🏻

What we get up to on our Friday evenings🤣🤣

No rainy days will stop this girl chase her ball!!

Myself and Nala have a brilliant system going! I don’t have to bend down every time to throw her ball…. In return Nala gets a very quick throw again💪🏻😆

Little bit of fun with Dustie before a hectic day! There are so many ways to get your dogs brain ticking!! It’s as easy as taking 10-15 minutes out of each walk, focusing on what keeps them engaged and have some fun with it! Your dogs will thank you🩵🐾

What an amazing year 2023 has been. I have found a love for my new career! I feel like I have a purpose! I’ve found some amazing people and grown my relationships with the ones closest to me. Bring on 2024🥰💪🏻
