Old man photoshoot for Alydar ❤️

Getting into his 20’s, Alydar is enjoying his retirement in the fields of the Estate. He is still occasionally ridden by the little ones and enjoys a nice light ba****ck ride from Matt every now and again, but you could never guess this old boy was as old as he is. He has the mind of a 3 year old c**t still!

RE Travelling Man is another one of our jump racers. He’s a 5 year old gelding also preparing for his next upcoming race!

Bennet is a wonderful gentleman to have at the yard. He was gelded early on to help him focus and stay calm during his training, he’s improved immensely from when he was a youngster and has now become a favourite amongst the jockeys!

Meet Garbet

Battalion is a 4 year old liver chestnut TB currently training in jump racing.
-
Garbet is off to his first race next weekend along with our other racers. We hope this gorgeous boy can show off his superstar ability! Being on the slightly stockier side than some of our other racers, Garnet has always been one we were unsure about being able to perform as well as some of the slimmer built racers we have, but boy can this horse fly when he gets moving! He’s been absolutely incredible in his training, especially this week. We can hopefully grab a few shots of him in his next training session to share!

Meet Tzar!

REPH Ballendoyle Prk Regent is a 10 year old blue roan maxi cob stallion. He is currently one of our main hunters heading off to a show very soon!

Tzar is a big sassy guy. His photo shoots always end with more goofy shots than serious shots, but we love them just as much! He is one of the biggest personalities here at the yard, but he pulls out his best every time in the show ring. He’s done extremely well for us in our local shows, and we’re very excited for him to get out there a lot more this season!

Meet Rolex!

REPH Rolex Royale is one of our gorgeous cobs. He’s a 12 year old stallion currently trained in hunting.

We really hope to have these cobs go on to great things in the near future, they are one of our main breeding focuses here at Remham. So hopefully we’ll have some tiny cobs trotting around very soon!

Meet Barnaby!

REPH Banbark Celadon is a 5 year old black fell pony gelding. He is currently being introduced to driving!

Barnaby is a sweet little guy, though he isn’t the keenest on having his belly touched. We’ve had one of our trainers working with him and he’s improving greatly every week! We hope to get Barnaby out with the cart soon, but for now he is still being introduced to all the harness parts.

Meet Alfie!

REPH Etherion is a 13 year old dapple grey KWPN. He is currently one of our event horses
-
Alfie is one of our oddballs here at Remham. We acquired him when he was a youngster after visiting some stables over in Germany. He was a little monster when we met him, he’d always buck as soon as you mounted, he’d try and roll with you on him and he’d even try biting your feet! We were initially going to purchase his mother but decided to take on Alfie instead, because one of our trainers saw something in Alfie that nobody else could. Alfie was hard work, but Ryan didn’t give up on him for 7 years and has much improved the gelding since we first saw him. Unfortunately it’s unlikely Alfie will ever be able to be rehomed as he is still unpredictable at times, but Ryan knows him well and can get the best out of him in competitions and at home, so we don’t plan to ever rehome this lovely boy.

Meet Carrie!

Remham’s Game Changer is a lovely chestnut British Riding Pony, 14 years old.

Cassie is one of our many BRP’s here at Remham. We love to have these little ones around as they’re perfect for our younger riders! Cassie is a sweet girl, a lot of the younger riders enjoy taking Cassie out for a little jump as she takes care of them. Cassie often joins the larger horses on hunts. You’ll often find her at the front with the hunt master, jumping whatever she’s asked and won’t shy at anything!

These woods make up for most of the estate, they’re a brilliant place to work our hunters, we like to do take them out as much as we can to get them used to it. Sol will be joining these two on their daily hacks shortly!

Meet Oliver!

REPH Holborn Golden Tide is a 4 year old Suffolk Punch. We hope to get him out into the show ring as soon as we can!

Oliver has no idea how extremely important he is as a breed to us here at Remham. As the number of Suffolks decrease, these gorgeous horses are in danger. We hope to have Oliver become a successful breeding stallion to help his breed numbers increase. It is a pleasure for Remham to be a home for such a breed. Olly himself is a one in a million horse. He has a brilliant temperament as most horses her at Remham do, but he’s also extremely agile! We’ve spotted Olly jumping over the smallest of sticks in his field, so maybe he has a future in a bit of jumping, who knows? Either way, Oliver is special in more than one way!

Meet Sol!

REPH Soloman’s Pride is a 4 year old black Irish Hunter, he is currently training to become one of our Team Chase horses and we hope to take him out on his first hunt this summer.

Sol is another one of our big gentleman here at the yard. While still very excitable in new places, he still tries his best to get his job done. He does have a reputation of nibbling holes in pockets when looking for treats, but he’s not greedy enough to take your fingers off.

Meet Keva!

REPH Lamfri Bayfire is a 13 year old KWPN mare currently not competing in any discipline.

Keva sufferer an injury as a filly caused by her dam accidentally stepping on her nose and one of her legs causing them to break. Luckily, even though her leg is still a small concern, Keva survived these injuries and continues to live her life happily, though her owner Ryan decided against ever training her in anything serious. Instead he does liberty work with her and only rides her ba****ck, but she still enjoys a small free jump every now and again. She is an extremely affectionate girl and she hasn’t forgotten those who helped her! She is a little shy with the farrier, but he knows her well enough now to work her through it

Meet Ziggy!

Remham’s Challenger is an 11 year old Riding Pony cross. He currently competes in eventing and has recently been teaching one of our youngest riders

Ziggy has a lovely temperament. As all Remham ponies, he is focused, gentle and a quiet ride. As we mainly use our ponies for our teenage and child riders, we ensure they are safe when riding. Ziggy is currently being ridden by 9 year old Xavier and they have just entered their first competition together!

As we mentioned in our last post, Darcy is full brother to Charlie! Both of them are inseparable, even though they’re 4 years apart. Darcy is rather protective of his younger sibling and loves to play chase with him. Darcy excels in eventing, and much like his brother has hunted many times in his life. He’s a gentleman, but he does rather love to show off in front of Charlie and hype him up!

Charlie is full brother to Darcy who’ll pop in one of our next posts. Standing at 17.2hh he’s a gentle giant. Charlie has been out hunting many times, and he never fails to impress! He’ll tackle anything you throw at him, but he does tend to get a little strong when he sees his own stride!

Meet Bally!

RE Ballycotton is a 2 year old grey thoroughbred. Along with the rest of our TB’s, Bally is looking to start his career in racing this year!

Bally is a tough little c**t to handle. He’s not naughty, he just has more energy than he knows what to do with! Luckily our vet and farrier have known him since birth, so they know exactly how to handle him. You can often see Bally out in the fields, trying to race anything and everything that passes his fence. From other horses, to birds flying past, to our hounds, Bally will always race them! He’s proven to be quite tricky to work with in his training, but with a little more time put into him we see him becoming an absolutely excellent little racer!

Meet Gaia and Tallula!

REPH Mavourneen is a 6 year old chestnut Irish Draught mare. She is one of our other broodmares on the yard, recently giving birth to this gorgeous little filly!

Tallula was sired by our own REPH Donnacha Highwayman who will be posted soon. She certainly takes after him in her looks and definitely has his curious nature!

Tallula is one of 6 foals we hope to have for sale in our ID foal crop coming at the end of the month. We hope you’ll stick around to see our lovely selection of foals and maybe take one home with you!

REPH Balduino is an 8 year old black PRE stallion.

He has been training in dressage and will hopefully be able to enter a few shows in the near future, we feel he’s ready to get out there and shine! He’s a lovely quiet character around the yard, he likes his own space most of the time, but he’s happy enough to greet people when they come to see him!

Meet Indi!

RE Painted Time is another one of our lovely TB mares. She’s a bay sabino filly, 2 years of age.

She has started preparation for her racing career and shows lots of promise! We hope to show this little girl off a lot more in some of her races in the future. She’s a keen little girl and absolutely loves to run. You can always catch her doing laps in her field when she’s turned out!

Meet Daim!

RE Sassy Days is a 3 year old thoroughbred. She is currently flat racing, but the plans for her are to advance into steeplechase when she is 4-5 years old.

This little filly is quite a reserved little one, she doesn’t like too much fuss from too many people at once, but she adores lots of fuss in one on one situations. She has proven quite difficult to start, becoming extremely sassy when she isn’t in the mood for getting up in the morning for her training some days, hence her name. She loves to run, she just hates waking up in the morning and isn’t quite your best friend until her breakfast shows up!
