I'm Amy Clough, owner and sole baker of Clough'D 9 Cookies and Sweets (pronounced "cloud nine"). My cookies are a buttery vanilla cookie with a hint of lemon, topped with sweet vanilla royal icing. I am located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, amidst the farm fields and waterways of Caroline County. I do not have a store front, but bake my treats in my licensed commercial kitchen- found in my backyard

! I will deliver my treats free of charge to the Preston, Easton, or Denton areas. Unfortunately, I no longer ship cookies as of 2018. Please send me message to inquire about cost. Cookies can be individually bagged as favors, gift boxed, or arranged on platters (platters for local orders only).

Sharing the few cookies that I squeezed in for my son as he graduated valedictorian of his high school class. Life has been an absolute whirlwind these past few months. But I couldn't let this once-in-a-lifetime event go by without some special cookies from his mama!

Happy Easter!

I’ve had this design in my head for quite some time, ever since I received this Papel Banner in my CookieCon swag bag a few events ago. It made the perfect backdrop to this springtime speckled egg cookie!

A few weeks ago, I wanted to streamline the making of some trade cookies for CookieCon Reno. I pulled out one of my absolute favorite gel colors- Golden Yellow. I gradually increased the amount of gel color added to white icing to create this beautiful range of yellow icing tones (a little bit went a longggg way!). The flower centers were made with Neon Green. I loved giving these happy flower cookies to my cookie pals!

Today, three years ago, was one of the most amazing experiences of my life: delivering the Keynote Speech at Reno 2022. I’m so glad that I paused to take this not-so-great-quality pic just before my speech😂. I was so excited to share my cookie story with nearly 1,000 attendees. But what has really stuck with me has been the numerous people who sought me out afterwards (and even at CookieCons since then!) to share their story and how much my speech resonated with them. I am forever grateful to my cookie community! Now, I’m off to feverishly prep for yes, another CookieCon in Reno, in just over two weeks. I’ll be teaching four incredible Add-On Workshops (and getting in some good quality cookie friend time, too!).

12” of snow from this past Sunday night has led to three days of no school. I’m so grateful that I was able to squeeze in a private cookie class before the storm came in! Ironically, the class cookie designs were snow-day themed. Perfect timing!

When I was a senior in high school, we had so many snow days that the school day was extended for several weeks to make up for the lost time. Wild times indeed! I’ve had my fill of winter- let’s bring on spring!
