Serpentime Reptile Zoo The idea Serpentime all started in 1997 with the purchase of our 1st snake a mexican black kingsnake. We have kept well over 200 species of animals.

Over the last 25 years Serpentime Reptile Zoo has transformed many times. Originally the concept of Serpentime was breeding, but that quickly changed to a more educational focus. we have rescued and rehomed literally hundreds of animals over the years. we love to share their stories in our shows and hope that stories weather they are good ones or bad ones in that showing people up close and person

al what can happen to these animals when they are not properly cared for. many reptiles make excellent family pets but they do have specific needs that must be met. We have bred many species over the years. Currently we are breeding crested geckos and some boa constructors. We are hoping to produce sunglow, albino, anery, DH for snow as well as 100% het albino this year. We are raising up a variety of other species for future breeding as well. We have been doing educational interactive shows around Cape Breton Island now for 16 years. Although this is now a hobby over a business we still do offer educational shows, birthday parties, fairs and special events when we have the time. The last 25 years have been an amazing ride. We have been fortunate enough to had the opportunity to introduce our pets to people from all over the world and have met so many wonderful people and made so many great friends from this adventure. Aside from reptiles we also work with and breed siamese cats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, rats, mice and who knows what the future will bring. I have dedicated well over half of my life to these animals and look forward to many more years of it.

For 10 of the last 11 years Serpentime Reptile Zoo has graciously been donated a booth at the Hub City Tattoo Expo for the purpose of fundraising which helps us with the many rescues and adoptions that come our way. In the last 2 years we have had around 30 animals come thru our doors. We will be going thru some of the animals here and looking to rehome a few in the upcoming weeks. We need to send some into forever homes to make room for when the call comes to help some others. This years Hub City was probably one of the best years which was great as we recently had a call about some animals left in a park up in toronto. 1 was rehomed, 1 passed away and we kept 2 of them who won't ever be leaving here. Our biggest fundraiser there is the event poster which we spend all weekend trying to get every artist in the building to sign and we sell tickets to raffle it off. This year there was 139 artists on site and the poster turned out awesome. Its gone home this year to Montreal with who really really wanted to win it. Katie Doyoas ( pretty sire I spelled that wrong) I love seeing how this fundraiser has grown over the years and the support from the artists is amazing. We are very greatful to our extended tattoo family who helps us out every year. Looking forward to next year already. Here is the 2025 signed poster this year. The red monster dragon was one of the animals found in Toronto. We named her Parker. She's gonna male a great animal ambassador to the zoo. She did wonderful at this weekends expo

Ive heard from a couple people that they thought we stopped doing shows and events. Thats certainly not the fact at all!! We will never stop educating about the animals I've dedicated my life to. We have been booking a couple events kicking off summer but have plenty of openings available. We are only available on weekends.if you have an upcoming event reach out and see if we can make something work.

We recieved 4 huge pearly white eggs from our black pastel ball python today. She was paired with a banana ball. If luck is with us on October 16th which is 57 days from today we should get some babies. It's been a very long time since we have hatched snake eggs here at the zoo. We have 25% chance of colors from these 2. The holy grail being banana black pastel but equal chance for banana, black pastel or even normal. Here's hoping for some cute yellow babies.
