Birds of a feather flock together! Hi, my name is Joe and I've always been fascinated with birds since I was a little boy. I do not breed any of them.

I rescue and adopt birds, mostly parrots; parakeets, Blue Crown Conures, Blue Fronted Amazon, Cockatiels, Sun Conures, Timneh and Congo African Greys, Love Birds, and Macaws. In addition, I have four Goulden Finches and a Rhode Island Red Chicken, lol :) Many birds in My Rescued Flock come from other people, shelters and various situations. Different breeds of parrots live from 15-95 years if in g

ood health and many outlive their caregivers. It is because of their lifespan or their life's longevity that many parrots go through 2, 3, or 4 or more caregivers. The birds that come to My Rescued Flock are not for sale or adoptable and they're all cared for by me. Many parrots are captured in the wild and bred and parrot trafficking around the world has become prevalent. It is important to me to make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of many others. They know that I'm their caregiver and they have developed a close attachment to me. Diane Hyde, prior president of the Long Island Parrot Society posted "Joe you are in the elite club of macaw whisperers, thanks for all you do for your birds" Due to the high cost of parrot food, supplies, equipment, veterinary care visits and medicine, I created this GofundMe page to help me with the expenses to take care and give the special care to My Rescued Flock. My mission is to save as many parrots as I can and my dream is to build a huge aviary in southwest Florida someday. I will definitely keep you posted.
