ALL dog and puppies who have been here for 30 days or more have had their adoption fees WAIVED! They are labelled on their cage cards which have been here the longest. Stop by the shelter Monday-Friday 12-5:30pm to check out these GREAT dogs and potentially take one home!

Hank, the beautiful Balinese mix is back looking for a home to call his own!

Hank was adopted a few weeks ago and the adopters tried very hard to help him acclimate to his new home, but he and the resident cat just couldn't get along. Hank would do best as an only pet.

He is very excited to be receiving lots of attention again!

His adoption fee is $30

Turn off non-essential lights from 11 PM until 6 AM during critical migration periods.
Turn off or dim lobby and atrium lights.
Turn off or dim interior home lighting, or draw blinds to prevent light escaping.
Turn off decorative landscape lighting.
Turn off lights before leaving the home or office.
Be sure outside lights are aimed down and well shielded.
Install motion sensors on outside lights to minimize use.
Prevent daylight collisions with bird friendly products for windows

Please help Caped Crusaders Cat Rescue with there current situation, Caped Crusaders Cat Rescue helps many cats around Missouri but has had to freeze intake due to financial constraints and distance from the vet. Sully is currently in her care and requires close monitoring. Sully had to returned to the vet numerous times due to his eye swelling and drainage.
Which is adding to the vet bill. Please consider sharing the post or donating $5 to help this great organization.

It’s $5 Friday. With heavy hearts, we must announce that we are temporarily closing our doors to new intakes of cats and kittens for an extended period of time. I wish I could give an estimate, but it honestly depends on donations. Recent weeks have brought unexpected medical emergencies that have strained our resources beyond their limit.

Here’s what’s been happening:

Sully needed emergency eye removal surgery and has had ongoing complications with swelling busting stitches requiring a second surgery.

Antonio potentially has a pituitary brain tumor causing insulin resistant diabetes and complications. He needs additional testing that will be incredibly costly.

Mr. Quint has had ongoing, costly medical needs including a very expensive full mouth extraction dental due to broken and rotten teeth from whatever accident caused his broken jaw.

Snuball has been battling severe pneumonia, leading to extended stays at the vet hospital.

This isn’t even including the 200+ cats/kittens we are caring for on a daily basis.

Our current vet bills at Pet Station total close to $3,000, with an additional $1,750 balance that is growing daily for Snubbull at VSS West. Our funds are completely depleted, and despite receiving 20-40 intake requests daily, we cannot accept any new cats until these critical bills are paid.

Two years ago in February, I received a call from an veterinarian official informing me that a pregnant stray cat, which I later named Nevaeh, needed a home. By the end of March, she had given birth to 8 kittens that name after superheroes.

They have been such a great addition to our family. Lemon is loving and curious Lizzy is spunky and protective. They're both great with my daughter and we couldn't imagine life without them.🐾
