They say “Having a dog will bless you with some of the happiest days of your life, and one of the hardest.”
Today, just one day after her 14th birthday, we said goodbye to our beautiful Penny 💔. We met her at 4 weeks old, and brought her to our home at 8 weeks old. Since that time, we’ve rarely spent a day apart.
She was great at so many things, like tricks and commands, but she was the absolute best at loving people. All people, all the time.
Over the years, we’ve shared adventures, secrets, happiness, a few tears and boundless love with her. In return, she remained faithful and true to us, until her very last breath, in my arms.
If you met her, you loved her...even people who didn’t really like dogs made an exception for her. She was one in a million, from beginning to end, and we were so lucky to call her ours.
We will miss her every time we see the perfect stick, while on a walk, and we will carry her in our hearts, wherever we go.
Give your fur baby a little extra hug today, in honor of our sweet Penny-Girl🌈💕
