Thought I’d do a little splurg update on us here.
Mainly a lot of personal stuff really because for some crazy reason the last couple of months have been quite a roller coaster of ups & downs. Happy bits, sad bits, fun bits & frustrating bits ha. But thankfully the track has all been running smoothly still & the horses are seeming content. And in amongst the mix there have been some lovely signs from nature & the universe telling me to keep going & that things are on the right tracks😊✨❤️
Descriptions are on my pics 🥰

Take me back to last week 😩 when it was warm, dry & sunny 🌞😎 I’m having some serious winter flashbacks currently with all this rain we’re having. But I’m going to try not to moan too much 🤣 I’m telling myself it won’t last. Complaining isn’t good for the soul, but pictures of pretty horses certainly are.

Here’s Leo & Tawny enjoying an afternoon snooze in the barn last week 🥰
I just love this pair, aren’t they lovely 🤩🐴❤️

Busy busy times here at the moment bringing about a bit of a social media break. But some preparing for winter has taken place with the addition of some lovely new (big) hay boxes. They are 4ft x 4ft & 2ft7 in hight. They just need some tie rings screwing in them for haynets to be attached inside, then they will be good to use. Am looking forward to seeing what the horses make of them 😊

As I’ve had another wonderful influx of likes & follows recently I thought I’d like to introduce ourselves 😊
My name is Amy & this is my pony Ted. He’s a piebald cob gelding who came to me from a charity called The Welsh Pony Rescue & Rehoming Charitable Trust.
He lives at home with me, my husband & our two sons on our Gloucestershire county council farm in Minsterworth, which is situated between Gloucester & The Forest of Dean.

This spring I started offering livery, track livery to be precise & currently we have two others living on the track with Ted. They are Tawny & Leo 🥰 The three of them get along very well, have settled in so nicely & seem to be liking track life.
We are currently running a grass track, where grass is monitored & the horses certainly get their daily steps in with lots of movement.
The horses also have access to a large shaded barn, a cosy field shelter & a concrete yard which are all great for getting out of the mud in winter.
A water buffet with various different flavours is put out for the horses often, they love this, it’s great for enrichment.
They also love a good itch on the scratch post on the fence, which is there for them to use as & when they choose to.
Salt & mineral blocks are dotted around for them to find also.
Our plan is to keep enhancing & enriching the place with some beneficial additions like a sand pit, a mound, more hay stations & more hard standing etc.
We’ll also be putting temporary mud control measures in place ready for the winter & will keep building on this as time goes on.
We are pleased to be welcoming another new livery who will be joining us in September 😊 This is giving us something to look forward to.
We offer various packages from Assisted Diy to part, full & retirement. We have one space available at the end of September.
For more information, send me a message to register your interest.

Thank you for following our journey & please feel free to let me know what you’d like to see more of in our posts.
Love & blessings to all, from us at Ley Court Farm Track Livery 🐴❤️✨

As we’ve had some new followers recently I thought I’d share a bit about us 😊

Ley Court Farm Track Livery is a new track livery yard located between Gloucester & The Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.
We are pleased to of opened our doors in spring ‘24’ to start welcoming liveries & their horses to our 800 meter non-surfaced grass track.

We offer Assisted DIY, Part & Full/Retirement livery packages depending on availability at the time of enquiring.

⭐️ We currently have two retirement livery vacancies available ⭐️
So if you or anyone you know may be interested in giving their horse a happy peaceful species appropriate lifestyle during their retirement then please feel free to get in touch.

We are very much still a work in progress here & so far our track consists of….
🐴 A large walk in barn & separate field shelter.
🐴 A couple of hard standing areas, which are great for winter.
🐴 Secure fencing.
🐴 Home grown low sugar hay included in all packages.
🐴 Various hay stations dotted around.
🐴 Straw & Burly bed bedding included.
🐴 Track is poo picked daily.
🐴 Daily care for full & retirement liveries.
🐴 Temporary mud control measures are put in place for winter (mud control mats & Jelka mats)
🐴 Mineral licks.
🐴 Water buffet.
🐴 Scratch posts.
🐴 Stable for emergency box rest.
🐴 Security lighting.
🐴 Storage & tea making facilities.
🐴 Great hacking around country lanes & farm fields.
🐴 Owner lives onsite.

Our main aim is to provide a happy environment for a mixed herd of barefoot horses who are able to freely move around with friends 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with access to shelter & forage as & when they choose.

Over time improvements to the track will be made, such as new enrichment areas like sand pits & a mound etc.

Very happy to have the herd all together now. It’s safe to say that intergrations went well. They are all such lovely natured horses who made it easy for us. They seem to like each other’s company & are enjoying exploring their environment together 😊🐴❤️

Last week we welcomed these two lovelies to the yard Leo & Tawny 😊 They seem wonderfully chilled with everything so far. The horses have all been enjoying meeting each other over the fence. What a lovely herd they will be 🥰 We’re all pleased with how things are going so far.

My beautiful Freesia 🖤
Gone but never forgotten ❤️ She gained her heavenly wings in 2020 (the dreaded year that kept on giving argh 🙈 took my precious that year too)
I was going through my phone tonight & found some pictures of her so decided to match quotes with the pics (not sure who wrote the first quote though so can’t credit)
She was such a wise & sensitive girl who embodied a deep knowing. She wasn’t for the faint hearted, if you had the courage to listen then she would deliver loud n clear.
My soul healing gal ❤️‍🩹

Loving this for a comparison 😊 Thank you Horse & Hooves for these pics.
Now that things are drying up I bet many are beginning to see these lovely windy horse tracks appear in their turnout.
