Nail clippers - there are many to choose from out there but these are great and do exactly what they say on the tin. There are many cheaper sets, but like most cheap products, they don’t last. We have several sets than stick when you are trying to cut nails or after using a few times, they don’t cut the nail anymore. Please take care when trimming your dogs nails, as you don’t want to go too short

Clipper recommendation - Andis Supra XR II cordless

These bad boys are fabulous. There is no restrictions in movement as they are cordless. The run time between charges is long and you have a button to adjust the speed. Have had these for 2 years now and they are brilliant. Only downside is that the blades do heat up quite quickly but you can buy a blade cooling spray which works a treat.

Clipper recommendations - Wahl Paw tidy clippers

These are fantastic. If your pooch doesn’t like having the fur between their pads trimmed and is a complete fidget, then these are a game changer. I’ve been known to have one of our dogs fast asleep on my lap, with their feet in the air (as they do) and I’ve grabbed these clippers and trimmed in between the pads whilst they were asleep and they didn’t wake up (I was covered in fur, but they didn’t wake up). Another plus point, AA battery, so no need to charge and no cord 😀

Clipper recommendation - Wahl KM5 2 speed professional clippers

We purchased these last year and they are brilliant. Having clipped a colleagues dogs using their set of Wahl clippers that they purchased at Crufts 10 years ago, we were so impressed, we bought a pair ourselves. Comfortable to hold, low noise and the blades don’t heat up as quickly. They have a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazon review and use the same blades as the Andis and Oster clippers which is another bonus. Clipper recommendation - Oster A5 Twin speed

These are the clippers that our groomer introduced us to over 20 years ago and I have to say that we've still got them (purchased in 2004). They are reliable and although they were over £200, they have lasted well and are still going strong. Like anything, if you look after it, it will go on for years. We have sent them away to be serviced and had the cable replaced during this time but they are the same clippers (unlike Trigger and his 20 year only broom from Only Fools & Horses 🤣)

If you are looking to invest in a decent set of clippers that will last, then these are worth every penny......and they come with 2 clipper blades 👍
