Pepper looking for lost cat in Mission Viejo. This was a difficult search as it was slippery and there were bushes to navigate around and through. Pepper got the direction of travel but I couldn’t continue to work her through the slopes. I brought in cowgirl and she immediately went to the remains!

I was hoping it would provide closure for the owners, but they did not want to accept that this was their cat. 😢

I never thought I would make a post like this but today Pepper Potts went missing in the desert.

I was parked at the red X (there was no one around). I left the van doors open and lock the dogs in their crates (or so I thought)

I took a Cowgirl out for a walk, and when I returned, Pepper’s crate was empty. I was in immediate panic mode as I would have no idea which way she went. She did not follow me to get Cowgirl, which surprised me. I called her for a few seconds and then I immediately logged onto my GPS.

It showed me she was traveling at the yellow X towards the main street. I drove up to her and parked and called her, and she really came to me.

If I would not have had the GPS, I she would have been possibly lost forever or hit on the road. I would’ve been at someone’s mercy for them to call me from the number on her collar.

I count my blessings, and I am so grateful to the universe that I was able to recover her.

Just goes to show that no matter how careful people are (and even in the business I am in) accidents do happen. Again, I stress without this GPS I would never of known which way to go.

I am still pretty shaken by it.
