It is with heavy hearts that the City of Ormond Beach mourns the passing of a true community pillar, Michael R. Longfellow, who served diligently as our Chief of Police until his retirement in 2010. Michael was not only a devoted servant to the public but a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering integrity will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

In celebration of Michael's life, we encourage donations to the UCF Foundation, Gene and Mary Longfellow Award, to support beginning teachers. Your generosity will honor Michael and his parents' commitment to community service and education.
