Animal Connections History

Animal Connections, Inc. was founded by Manatee County native and lifetime resident, Kathy Gutierrez (Kennedy). Kathy's ancestors were cattle ranchers in Manatee County dating back to the early 1900's. Those familiar with the county will recognize roads named after her ancestors - Morgan Johnson Road, Lena Road, Pope Road, and Lorraine Road. Kathy left behind an accomplished career in Information Technology (IT) in both the Telecommunications and Utility industries to pursue a long-held dream of working with animals. She has owned, cared for, and trained many animals during her life as an avocation and is now very happy to offer animal-helping services full-time.
