Please, please, please don't take your dog for a walk on concrete when it's hot. If you can't walk on the concrete barefoot then it's to hot for your dog.
A little walk near water is great as long as you let them in the water

Just a few simple tips that I got reminded of again today and last night. I know I have said it before but this is worth saying again. Know your pet... know how they breathe, know how they sleep, know how they walk, know what their stomach feels like, know what their guys look like, and it maybe a little "gross " but know what their p**p and p*e looks like. Know what they are excited for, know their eating and drinking habits.

If you have big kids but love seresto flea collars, here is how we make ours work. We put a small hole on both ends of the collar add a piece of elastic. We fit it to the dog and tie it off. Cut off excess elastic so the kids can't chew on it. This allows the collar to be easily removed and put back on while still fitting comfortably for the dog.
