A little update on what we're doing "behind the scenes..."

At the end of July, Vertigogo and I competed at Groom Texas during the Houston World Series of Dog Shows in the Poodle class. I'm so proud of this boy and our progress!

I received a great critique that validated the tweaks I've been making to this trim and provided guidance on where I can go from here to improve the profile for our next competition.

I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their expertise, experience, critiques, tips and moral support! Every bit of guidance and encouragement means the world to me! It's more evidence of how awesome this industry is because of the individuals who want to see EVERYONE succeed! I hope to be able to give back to this industry someday because I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for the mentors, educators, judges and friends who also share this passion for our profession.

Congratulations to everyone and their placements! So much beautiful talent out there!

I also received some exciting mail from the Texas Professional Pet Groomers Association! I'm so proud of the board who stepped up to create this organization for Texas Stylists where we can lead by example and be the change we want to see in this industry.

Here's to progress! 🖤

The heat of summer has arrived with a vengeance. Please do not take your dogs out walking or running in the middle of the day. Bring your pets inside to prevent heat stroke, and provide 24/7 access to shade and fresh water whenever they're outside.
