2025 So Far!
ASH TREE RANCH RESCUE UPDATE
Most every day now we work non-stop with the dogs, shelters, adopters, fosters, transporters, vets, and networkers and operate under critical euthanasia deadlines. We strive to ensure the dogs are safe, well cared for, and delivered to the places they need to be—all while searching for additional adopters and fosters so we can save even more. As a result, we sometimes don’t have the time to post updates or celebrate our successes.
There are just not enough hours in the days to keep up. We are usually behind on dog postings, important bookkeeping and paperwork, and on searching for funding that is needed to maintain and continue our work.
We do so much with the help of our supporters, but often we are exhausted and simply aren't able to share everything that has transpired before we have to move on and keep the cycle going.
In the future, we want to do better sharing more of what transpires, so all of you can rejoice with us over the differences we make for the animals that we rescue. Rest assured, we are making a difference for many.
Since the beginning of the year—and with tremendous help from many of you—we have rescued:
Ralph, Kobe, JuneBug, Zeus, Monstro, Mavis, Cole, Blazer, Diesel, Buffy, Cayo, Zeus, Dodger, Michelle, Valentine, Joey.
Wow.
Already this year, we’ve spayed and neutered several dogs, got Cole's cherry eye corrected, and are in the process of addressing medical needs for others as well!
Since November, at least 17 dogs have been adopted! See our success stories and pictures here:

We also can't say it enough -THANK YOU to all of our supporters—including adopters, fosters, donors, our volunteer web developer and everyone who shares our goals and mission. We’ve met so many great and helpful people, and we need your continued support to help even more dogs. With an unwavering focus from all of us on the plight of these animals and the desire to rescue t

RESCUED BY ASH TREE RANCH RESCUE!
Senior "Mavis" was rescued from LA County's Carson shelter less than two weeks ago. She, obviously, was overbred and then thrown away by unappreciative owners. Their loss! And now Mavis's and our gain! What an honor it is to get to spend time getting to know this beautiful girl.
Thanks to a promise from a donor to cover her medical, and pledges that will help cover spay and other expenses, we were able to commit to her rescue. We will have the breast abnormality checked out and remedied. We're hopeful it's a minor injury and not a tumor, but we will find out and get treatment.
Mavis is a sweet quiet girl. We think she is still in disbelief that reality can be comfortable :) and humans can be ok, but she is begininng to trust and show some cute personality! We are looking forward to more of that in the future!
It's so rewarding to rescue Seniors. They are usually easier to provide day to day care for and most always need less direction than their younger ccounterparts.
Mavis will be available for adoption once her health needs are known and addressed. If you are intersted in giving Mavis her forever home, please submit an adoption application at www.ashtreeranch.org

If we’ve ever known a dog to be misunderstood, it is CHASE. Chase is approximately 2 years old and is vaxxed neutered and chipped.
Chase is an extremely sweet dog who was recently rescued a high kill shelter in South LA. He was an owner surrender. Upon reading his intake notes, we discovered he was constantly crated and rarely allowed outside. After a month at the shelter, his sweet demeanor started to evolve into fear.
But we could see that Chase was different. We could see he was just scared, hopeless and forced to fend for himself. So we took action. In the knick of time, Chase was rescued by Ash Tree Ranch Rescue. A generous foster, in Tustin, CA wanted.to save his life.
Chase is a very good boy. He wants to be lead. He wants to love and be loved. He wants to be in service. Chase has had a dark, difficult two years - losing his so called pack, being mislabeled and mishandled. He deserves a home where he can finally lay his head in peace, fully trust his person and live a life of joy. We have absolute faith that Chase's journey will unfold seamlessly from here. Chase is now decompressing from the abandonment and shelter life he's had to endure and is already showing how resilient dogs are. He enjoys sending time with his foster, and is being a great companion. Chase needs a home that will give him understanding and good leadership. He'lldo best being an only dog.
Chase’s misunderstood past doesn’t have to define his future. And with a wonderful adopter, we can ensure that Chase’s future is as sweet and loving as he is!
