It’s going to be a very cold night. If it's too cold for you to stay outside, then it's too cold for your pet to stay outside too!! PLEASE DON'T LET THEM FREEZE! 🙏

We've got some picky eaters in the house.
If you can spare any Meow Mix, Friskies, or Whiskas, dry or wet food for our shelter animals, they'd LOVE to chow down (and we'd LOVE to get them eating again).

You can order directly from our amazon wish list, and have it sent directly to us!

Thank you 💜🧡🐱.

Yes, we are closed for intake. BUT, emergencies happen. What can you do when you stumble across a freezing kitten late at night? Do you leave it to die, or do you pick it up? Staff member Maddy faced just that dilemma on Monday evening, when she found little Rudolph out in the snow, all by himself, so frozen that he couldn’t walk. She didn’t think twice; she just snatched him up and took him home to warm up.

Rudolph is now safe with us, and we will give him the best care to help him make a full recovery from his ordeal. He is about 6 to 8 weeks old, and well socialized. Once recovered and neutered, he will be ready for adoption, probably just after Christmas, or early in the new year. Of course, we can’t do all that without your help. Your donations will provide the food, shelter, and veterinary care Rudolph needs to get him ready for his forever home. E-transfers may be sent to [email protected] or visit craigstreetcats.ca/donate for more giving options.

Thank you!

Please remember to follow, comment, like, and share. The more people who know about Rudolph, the more support he is likely to get, and every interaction with our page and content helps support all the cats in our care.

17 year old Ivy would like to talk to you about why this Giving Tuesday is so important. For all of her 17 years, Ivy lived on Craig Street. She is last surviving member of the original 40+ Craig Street Colony. For all of those 17 years, generous donors helped keep her fed and warm by sending money to Craig Street Cats. The weeks leading up to Christmas, from about the middle of November, saw the most support for cats like Ivy. Most of that money came in the mail.

This year there’s a postal strike.

Ivy wants you to know that although she is now living indoors, CSC is supporting many cats that live on Winnipeg’s streets, in addition to the adoptable critters at the adoption centre. The postal strike means that the money to care for them is not arriving the way it usually does. This Giving Tuesday, please help make sure that all of these cats have ongoing food, shelter, and access to veterinary care. E-transfers may be sent to [email protected] or visit craigstreetcats.ca/donate for more giving options.

Thank you!
