An amazing follow up from a pup adopted 3 yrs ago. WE LOVE IT!!!

“Hello! I just wanted to share my experience with a dog I rescued through you guys a few years ago. It’s all positive!

His name was Barney. He is now named Mousse. He is a pitbull terrier. I got him about 3 years ago when I lived in Rhode Island. My friend was fostering him temporarily and he was going to be sent back to your rescue. I wasn’t planning on adopting a dog at that time (it was never on my radar) I was always a crazy cat person lol! But when I met this dog it was an instant connection! I was sitting in my backyard and my friend brought Mousse to visit briefly. Mousse saw me, got excited and jumped into my lap and gave me kisses! As the night progressed, Mousse didn’t leave my side and even followed me into the house. When he came into the house he sniffed around then layed on the couch peacefully like he already lived there! He kept following me around and I loved it too. My friend had informed me that this dog was supposed to be returned to the rescue that weekend. I was devastated! I couldn’t understand why the last person before my friend had him didn’t want this sweet boy. I talked to my roommates at that time and my friend we agreed that I could adopt this dog!
I was ecstatic! So in the coming days Barney (now Mousse) was mine!

fast forward 3 years later(aka now) and I kept mousse through all the bad times and the good times I’ve had. I’ve moved a few times and I’ve made sure mousse was able to stay with me every time. He has helped improve my quality of life significantly.

We go on walks multiple times a day. We love going to the beach and walking in the woods together. mousses favorite thing is when we go for car rides and he gets a pup cup or dog safe ice cream! He even has a new furry friend named Oreo (not from this rescue) an 8 year old Shih Tzu that he loves to cuddle with and take walks with too!

Anyway all this to say thank you so much for such an amazing dog! I love what you guys do and maybe someday in the future I’ll be able to adopt another furry friend from you. 🙂 “

Happy gotcha day Ginger!!!!

“Ginger is such a love! My husband and I are over the moon. Ginger has adapted incredibly well and is strongly bonded with both my husband and me. We decided that her name suited her perfectly so we opted not to change it. We’ll be starting a basic obedience class on 8/14 and the trainer was here today for an individual session to give us a few pointers. There are no behavioral issues we’re concerned about but we want to help Ginger interact well with people and other dogs. Every day is a joy with her. She is such a happy girl.
