Trainer Liam O’loughlin of “Elite Racing” would like to talk about the upcoming Perth Magic Millions Sales and also Race Horse Ownership and the common questions asked around Ownership
Are race horses expensive? They can be but it’s flexible to all budgets , you can buy 2.5% shares with a average monthly cost of $80- $100 a month whilst in training and $30-$40 a month whilst spelling in paddock , but when your racing for $88,000 for a Perth Saturday Race in prize money and bonuses it is easy to enjoy that winning feeling and hopefully get a good return on your investment.
How long usually will it take before my horse races? This all depends on the horse and the development of the horse some mature differently but they are broken in and handled early giving them the chance to go through our process and hopefully get the up and running early targeting them 2 & 3 year old races , some do take time and we don’t like to rush them to help give them longevity in racing throughout there careers on the track.
Can my family or Social and Sports club form a syndicate ? Yes there are plenty of small syndicates out there that take a percentage and split the cost even some owning 1% shares but still enjoying the thrill of watching your horse race and cheering the horse home for the win there’s no better feeling in the world .

We also happy to take on new clients and horses , we also purchase pre raced horses that may need a sea change and a relaxed environment like our Albany Facilities with luscious green grass, beautiful beaches and Albany Race Club 5 minutes from our propert it’s a great environment for horses to grow and help them race competitively.

Rohrzucker had her 2nd trial in Albany over 1000 on Saturday. She worked into the trial nicely finishing 3rd and showed some real promising signs of what’s to come! 🐎
