Keanu Reeves was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister has leukemia.
And with everything that has happened, Keanu Reeves never misses an opportunity to help people in need. When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants; One cried because he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 and on the same day Keanu deposited the necessary amount in the woman's bank account; He also donated stratospheric sums to hospitals.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery and bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
After winning astronomical sums for the Matrix trilogy, the actor donated more than $50 million to the staff who handled the costumes and special effects - the true heroes of the trilogy, as he called them.
He also gave a Harley-Davidson to each of the stunt doubles. A total expense of several million dollars. And for many successful films, he has even given up 90% of his salary to allow the production to hire other stars.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
Most stars when they make a charitable gesture they declare it to all the media. He has never claimed to be doing charity, he simply does it as a matter of moral principles and not to look better in the eyes of others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought: To be a good person. ❤️

There is a movie coming out on Feb 18 called "Dog". It stars Channing Tatum and a highly trained Belgian Malinois. It's a road trip/buddy movie.

People are going to see this film and many will want their own Belgian Malinois. This is not going to end well for this breed.

A highly trained Malinois is a work of art. So is Michelangelo's statue of David but I don't necessarily want it in my living room.

This breed can be amazing in the right hands but they require a lot of everything. If you are considering getting a Malinois, please, first go meet some Malinois of all ages at your local rescue.

Be honest with yourself about the amount of time that you have to dedicate to training one of these dogs. Not the person that you want to be but the person that you are right now. Sitting on your ass and reading this post.

If you are still determined to get one. You can stem the inevitable tidal wave of Malinois that will be surrendered to the shelters by sourcing your dog in one of 3 places:

Your local shelter
A local Malinois rescue
A real, ethical breeder (researching one is hard work but an ethical breeder will prove their dogs and require that you return the dog to them if you can't keep it)

DO NOT get a Malinois from the guy down the street. Don't help backyard breeders line their pockets. Pure bred doesn't equal good breeding.

If you see the popularity of these dogs sky rocket and think you can make a quick buck by breeding some. May all of your financial ventures fail one after another.

About 4 years ago, a homeless woman reached out for help with her senior chow mix named Chewy. It was around the same time that a young couple inquired about Dakota, who was not a candidate for apartment living.
Chewys story melted their hearts, so they welcomed her into their life's.
As first time dog parents they exceeded all expectations.Chewy lived a dream life, she was treated like a child. When Chewy didn't act her normal self, her concerned humans rushed her to the vet. Sadly, Chewy was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, the most devastating news. After multiple opinions and research, due to Chewys age, the decision was made to celebrate her life and keep her comfortable. Chewy loved car rides, she loved canoeing, she loved being with her humans. So a bucket list was created with Chewys most favorite things ❤️
A trip to Florida Everglades was truly the happiest moments in her life.
Chewy crossed over to her next chapter peacefully, she felt the love Quan and his lovely wife shared with her every day until the very end. She was a very special little girl that touched many hearts.
I am humbled to know that humanity still exists and that I have the privilege to know such noble humans. Today Chewys picture and her ashes adorn the mantle, she is never far....

Wolfgang is an AAOABR pup in boarding.

Wolfgang is looking for his forever home!

Wolfgang is a neutered on the small side, GSD. He loves
people but should be the only animal, no dogs or cats.

He is a quiet boy, except when the lawnmower or tractor is
going, then he is the typical herding dog and wants to chase!

Wolfgang would do best in a home with a large backyard to run
off some energy. Wolfgang walks beautifully on a leash and
would be the perfect walking, hiking, or running partner.

Wolfgang tested light heartworm positive and was treated with the
slow kill treatment plan. He is UTD on vaccinations and microchipped.
