Today started with a cat visit before P and SR arrived. They were soon joined by C and they all had some play with the toys before we collected J for our walk at Crampshaw.

Happy New Year everyone. Here's to a good one.

This past week I have had visits to cat S. I've also had SM here for the day and our walk was with friends at Oxshott Heath. I also had the pleasure of H for a day with our walk being on the Common.

This is why pets shouldn't be bought and given as Xmas presents and also demonstrates how irresponsible and uncaring pet shops can be. 😡 There will have been no background checks, no home visit, no discussion covering cost, care, taking responsibility for young lives, no proof of suitable, safe accommodation. And yet I and other Rescues get abused for sticking to our adoption criteria, for daring to want to ensure that guinea pigs leaving our care have the best furever homes where they will be loved and chershied for the rest of their lives. So please, don't be offended if we ask lots of questions, offer advice, sometimes say no! When I stop caring, I'll stop rescuing.

This week my daughter was at home so the dogs had extra attention, play and cuddles.

On Tuesday we had L, SM and SR here. We met up with friends for a muddy walk at Hogsmill.

Wednesday was the turn of P, R and SM and our walk was at Headley Heath with friends. This walk was much cleaner and drier ....... except for R who enjoyed a dip in the pond.

It was just Tiny M here on Thursday. He had a lovely time watching the pigeons in the garden. Our walk was with a friend at Exxon.

Last of all it was H's turn on Friday. She relished the extra attention and all the Christmas toys. She especially enjoyed helping rip up a box for recycling.

SR found it fun to snuffle a ball through the leaves and then found that the ball would roll down a small mound.

Today we were joined by P and SR with C coming to us for our walk at Crampshaw.

We had P, L, R and SM here on Wednesday and our walk was on the Common. There was lots of attention given and they also enjoyed playing with they toys. I also paid a visit to the S cats. They were both in to begin with then one went out once I had given them food while the other had a fuss and left the house the same time as I did.

Thursday was the turn of SM and Tiny M. We had our walk with friends at Crampshaw. Later in the afternoon we were joined by L and SM.

On Friday L and SM were joined by H for the day. We met up with a friend for a walk at Young Street. H ran at top speed down the length of the field alongside a passing train. Unfortunately I totally forgot to take any photos of our walk.

Saturday morning's walk with L and SM was on the Common. Later they were joined by P. For their night-time walk we all went out with Mr APC to go and see some Christmas lights nearby.

Today L, P and SM had their walk on the Common. L and P returned home in the afternoon leaving S here for undivided attention. He was given a chicken's foot after dinner. He went outside and hid it in the garden only to go back out an hour or so later to retrieve it. He soon demolished it.

Yesterday we had P and SR here for the day and were joined by C for the morning. P was very brave and protected us from the guy washing next door's conservatory. SR came and sat next to me for safety. C just continued playing with all the toys 😂. We had our walk on the harder, drier paths of the Common and they managed to run for a couple of ball throws each but mainly C and P carried a ball around. I also called in on the S cats. They were both in so I managed to get a little fuss with them both.

Today it was just SM and SR here for the day. We met up with a friend for an enjoyable walk at Oxshott Heath. I also paid a visit to the cats but neither of them were in so it was a very quick visit.
