🪥 When doing a Dental Prophylaxis, using an ultraviolet light aids in detecting the presence of dental calculus.

🌿🧬 This is due to the exsistence of porphyrins (a group of natural chemicals).

🔦 Our technicians use an ultraviolet light on 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 dental cleaning to spot hidden plaque, and ensure your pets teeth are truly clean!

Shout out to our volunteer clinic cat, Louis, for allowing us to use him as a teaching opportunity 😉
