I love to make cookies. Some are family recipes passed down and some are just favorites of the household. My grandmother made these date and walnut bars that are so original that I've never seen them made elsewhere. When i take a bite, I'm instantly transported back to my childhood.

I'm in Washington today as my Charlie is finally getting snipped. ✂️
I can't tell you how much I love that rascal and putting him in someone else's hands just makes my heart beat a little faster.

In the meantime, I'm exploring the town and learning to breathe again.
