have really fallen in love with this breed this past year. I especially love the Splash and Blue varieties.
This year my hens are outdoing themselves and lay better than all my other hens.
I wasn't expecting to get this many chicks off my few new hens but with them laying so steadily l've been able to hatch quite a few babies.
Also their eggs are just so pretty!!!
If you'd like to add some of these beautiful chickens to your flock I currently have 8-9 extra babies from this week's hatch.

My girls enjoying a special treat of peas, I think they're happy there's no more marrow left! You can see their hierarchy in action here with the top hens diving straight in whilst poor Shelley and Evie hang back whistling their frustration. I made sure they got their share when I turned off the camera!

Our Lavender Orpington chicks are getting so big! They are almost 10 weeks old. They've had some free range time the last few days, chasing moths and grasshoppers, snacking on dandelion leaves and clover and scratching around in the dirt looking for ants. They are so cute and they come flying over when we call them. Love our chickens

They're growing up so fast
2 easter
eggers on the left and 2 blue australorps on the right.
Some of the older hens are nice to them but some of them are still really mean &
The only bad thing is the older ones
don't let the little ones eat so I have to feed them separately. Other then that they don't mess with them really. I think since it's so hot they don't even care 😂

it is 19 total! They are ready for the
brooder today f. We have a lot of chicks and grow outs!
We cannot wait to see how they mature!
