Did you know that fostering saves lives? 🐶❤️
By opening your home to a foster dog, you’re giving them a second chance at life. Here’s why fostering is so important:

✅ Space for more dogs: Every foster home opens a spot in our group for another dog in need.
✅ A safe haven: Foster homes provide a loving environment for dogs to decompress and feel safe.
✅ Building confidence: Many dogs come from tough situations, or just have never been shown how to be a dog. Fostering helps them learn trust, basic training, and socialization.
✅ Making matches: As a foster, you help us learn more about the dog’s personality, making it easier to find their perfect forever home.

We would love to bring this sweet girl into our program but need a committed foster to do so.

She is a 10-month-old smooth collie mix who’s ready to steal your heart! 💕 Picked up as a stray, this sweet girl is as friendly and loving as they come! She’s:
✔️ Great with people and other dogs
✔️ Likely cat-friendly as there was a cat hanging around when she was first spotted
✔️ A perfect medium size at 38 lbs

🎉 2024 Year in Review 🎉

What an incredible year it’s been for MWK9! 🐾 Thanks to YOUR support, we’ve been able to make a huge difference in the lives of so many dogs:

🐶 33 new dogs joined our rescue family this year.
🏡 39 pups found loving forever homes!
💖 14 of those adoptions were made possible by amazing fosters who couldn’t let their pups go.

We’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished together in 2024, but we’re just getting started!

As we look ahead to 2025, we have big dreams of rescuing even more dogs, growing our foster and support network, and helping more pups find their happily-ever-afters!

Meet Rosie!

Rosie is an 85-pound bundle of love and energy looking for her forever family!

This playful girl thrives outdoors and lives for a good game of fetch. She’s happiest when she’s around other dogs, whether it’s at doggie daycare, the dog park, or just hanging out with furry friends. She’s also curious about cats—she tries to play with them, but her enthusiasm isn’t always appreciated! (She doesn’t quite realize her size!) Overall, she is an affectionate, adventurous pup who loves walks, car rides, and spending time with her people.

She is great with adults and older kids/teenagers, but due to her size and energy, she might accidentally knock over the little ones. She’s house- and crate-trained but still working on sleeping in past 4 a.m. (we think an active family could help tire her out for longer snoozes).

Rosie loves her toys, especially tennis balls and durable Kongs. Plush toys? They don’t stand a chance! She enjoys zooming around the yard and would do best with a fenced-in space to run off her bursts of energy. After a few laps, she’s ready to relax and chill.

She is just around a year old, and while we aren’t sure of her breed mix, we’re guessing there’s some Pyrenees and probably border collie in there somewhere! These breeds (especially together!) are not for novice dog owners or the faint of heart; she will require a family who is committed to continuing her socialization, training and active lifestyle.

If you’re an active family with lots of love and patience, Rosie could be your perfect companion. Are you ready to give this sweet, silly girl the forever home she deserves?

🐾 Meet Petie! 🐾

We would love to help this boy find his forever home for the holidays 🎄!! Can you help us spread the word?

This sweet little guy may be small in size but he's big on personality! At around 30 lbs. and just a year old, Petie is a bundle of playfulness and love. While we're not exactly sure of his breed mix or background, what we do know is that he's an absolute charmer.

Petie adores people (kids included!) and gets along well with cats and other dogs. He's always up for a walk, especially if there's water involvedhe LOVES splashing around on his adventures with his foster family. He has also enjoyed chasing the leaves as they blow around!

When he's not exploring the outdoors, Petie is more than happy to snuggle up on the couch, making him the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. Plus, how can you resist those soulful eyes?!

Petie is house- and crate-trained, walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and gets along with everyone he meets. If you're looking to add a little joy and excitement to your family, Petie is your guy!

✨ Meet Valentino! ✨

Also known as “Tiny Tino,” this 24-pound bundle of joy is on the hunt for his forever home!

Estimated to be around six years old (though his energy says otherwise!), Valentino is a spry, affectionate boy who’s ready to bring endless joy to his new family. As an added bonus, while he appears to be a purebred American Eskimo, his foster mom reports that he is not a big barker!

Not only is he ridiculously handsome (just look at that adorable little snow-fox face 🦊), but his personality is just as amazing:

🌟 Friendly & Loving: Valentino adores people and is the ultimate snuggle buddy.
🎉 Playful & Funny: He loves to play with his foster siblings and enjoys learning new tricks!
🧠 Smart & Trainable: He learned “sit” in 2 days and goes into his crate for a treat like a pro.
🏡 Well-Mannered: Housebroken and non-destructive!
🐾 Good with Other Pets: He gets along with cats and likes playing with the female dogs in his foster home.
🚶‍♂️ Quick Learner: Valentino is mastering leash walking, stairs, and polite mealtime behavior.

Bonus talent? He can catch treats mid-air and loves showing off his “dance moves” on his back legs! 💃

This sweet boy was found wandering underweight, likely used as a breeding stud before being abandoned. But now, he’s fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for a fresh start.
