I had two snake calls within minutes of each other today. A very active Copperhead snake at Rowella and a rather large Tiger snake at Hillwood.

With this beautiful warm weather you will see snakes out and about alot more, use caution when tidying up around your property, as snakes like to hide under things like old roofing iron etc.

Hey everyone, as some of you might already know. With the weather warming up it's the perfect time for snakes to come out and start stretching their legs.

So now is a good time to start clearing up your properties, snakes love hiding under things like old roofing iron and in wood piles ( but be sure to use caution when moving such items).

It is also a good time if you have young children to teach them what to do if they come across a snake while playing in the yard. Ideally, stand still and call out to an adult for help, don't move towards the snake, and most importantly don't try and pick the snake up.

For adults, please try to watch the snake while you call, if you can do so from a safe distance. If I am available, I am more than happy to come and relocate the snake for you.

I got called out to a local rural property this afternoon and found a good sized Tiger snake just chilling in the grass.

This was a quick and safe removal, as the home owner kept an eye on it from a safe distance, while his wife contacted me.
