Some Monday mornings are better than others.
We all have our favourite breed and Piret, being a husky owner herself, was in heaven. It was an absolute pleasure to see so many well cared for pups running around happy and so affectionate.
Thank you to the owner for having us and for allowing us to share the joy.
Amazing day of routine vaccinations and checkups today. Low stress, no fuss, lots of cuddles.
Thank you to everyone who came along yesterday for the charity dogshow to support Mel's Rescue !
None of us wanted to be the judge because we think everyone is a winner.
We raised an amazing amount to help out cats and dogs in need.

We love a puppy appointment. And we never leave in time because the cuddles are more important.

Another amazing appointment with one of our favourite clients. This baby got his second jabs done and loves a good scratch! He has loads yet to grow and we cannot wait to see what he becomes!
We live for the puppy appointments.
Once the work is done we can have as many cuddles as we want.
Patient Of The Week goes to this little lady. Almost a year ago she was given a short term poor prognosis after a scan was done to determine the nature of her tumour. She has beaten all odds, is the same happy chunky girl as always and shows no signs of stopping!
We had an amazing time running and sponsoring the dog show in Bocking this Sunday!
So many beautiful (and naughty) dogs making it all the more fun for everyone watching. Congratulations to all the winners it was well deserved!
A little update on our favourite circus pony!
Stitches out today and all healed well. Gave his lovely owners a ride in the beginning to get his bandaging and face mask right, and then decided he was done with it a few days ago and gave it to a fox in the field never to be seen again.
We are very happy with his progress and it is always a pleasure to visit their yard. See you soon!
Thank you to everyone who came today! The turnout was great and we met some familiar faces and made some new friends! We also had many 4-legged visitors both big and small.

KENNEL COUGH 🦠 is making rounds again! We have had numerous reports about it just these past couple weeks alone.
A hacking cough is a predominant symptom of this disease and is often mostly harmless but can be severe and dangerous in elderly and immunosupressed dogs.
It can be passed easily from dog to dog and also via human contact and water bowls, equipment etc.
If your dog has not been vaccinated for it this year and you would like to do so get in contact via 07565 960900 or Facebook!
Be aware it is a live vaccine so any dog that has received their vaccination should stay away from other susceptible dogs for a short period of time.

We had another interesting case today with a beautiful end result. This 28-year-old gentleman had a tumour growing on his eye and needed it removed before it grew even larger and spread. The owners did not want to stress him with a trip to a surgery and we agreed to do it at home. Again, another one of our patients that isn't very fond of vets but we don't think he even noticed the first sedation...
He was a perfect patient, standing like a doll till the last stitch was in and all was finished (and then proceeded to suddenly wake up for the bandage and turned into a circus pony...😅).

We would like to share an interesting case with you. A small skin tag suddenly started to grow a few weeks ago and developed into the size you see on the pictures. While not life threatening it caused the patient a lot of irritation and discomfort while walking.
Sadly due to past experiences she isn't fond of going to the vets and also a little too advanced in age to consider general anaesthesia.
We managed to remove it safely in the comfort of her own home with her mum holding her to keep her calm combined with local sedation. She can now walk a bit better and we left her a lot lighter than we found her!

Some days we get to see a different kind of patient. Eye problems aren't exclusive to domestic pets only.
Hence how we ended up with the skittish but cuddliest goats in all of Essex!
We got some big boy cuddles today. And he isn't even fully grown yet!
This lovely lad got his yearly jabs to get him ready to go start his training.
Piret and I have received an overwhelming amount of kindness from our clients which we both would like to thank you for. As much as we love you guys... we love your pets a little bit more. So as promised another successful story. Meet Bob and Jax. Bob was a feral stray that we had to drag out of a ditch to save them. Jen Jen's Pet services took great care of them until new homes were found. Bob has his forever family and a brother called Jax. Debbie thank you for taking great care of him and keep us all updated with his progress!
On a more positive note... congratulations to Justine and Keeley on the successful birth of baby "cabbage"! We are so proud as he is our 1st foal born under E-Veterinary Services. 💙
It has been brought to our attention that we and some local rescues are being put on various Facebook sites, claiming we stole a dog. This is of course not true and is part of an ongoing investigation that is being dealt with by social services and police. The police have also been informed about the harassment and are dealing with this matter.
Please can we ask if you see any posts regarding this to screenshot with what page you see this on and of course report to the admin and us so we can pass it on to aid the investigation.
We had an amazing time microchipping 12 Great Dane puppies this morning! Our shoelaces will never be the same.
They grow up so fast!
We offer microchipping 10£ per animal plus visit fee depending on your location. Remember that microchipping your pets is a requirement by law and also helps them find their way back home if ever lost! Just remember to register them online after chipping!

Vaccinating your cat is important even if they don't roam or go out. They can catch diseases just from being in contact with you or your boots or clothes!
With the not so recent deficit of cat vaccines in the veterinary industry there have been issues with getting them vaccinated in due time on regular prices. We are happy to have had a recent shipment, if anyone is in need of a booster or a restart let us know!
This can be combined with microchipping or checking for a chip for your cat to make sure they are legal for the newly implemented rule for all cats to be chipped by this summer.
Saying goodbye to your family is always hard and filled with doubts. We are here for you to support you during the difficult decision and to help them along to a better place if needed.

Is your cat microchipped?
From the 10th of June 2024 all domestic cats need to be microchipped by law. It also makes it easier for them to return to their owners if lost!
Just make sure you register them online with owner details (regardless of whether they already have their chip or need a new one).
We offer microchipping for 10£ per pet. If we are coming to you there will be a visit fee that includes an examination added to the invoice. Call or message us on 07565 960900 for more info or to book an appointment!
If you are unsure if your cat has a microchip we can scan them for you during the appointment.
New legislation laid in Parliament today introducing mandatory cat microchipping
With it being this close to the New Year we are posting again to ask everyone to be mindful of pets and wildlife that are scared of loud noises! Try to keep your fireworks displays to the main event and use noiseless products where possible.
If your pet is known to panic please contact us ahead of time to ask about possible medication to help them out on the night!
