Wow it’s hot out! ☀️ We’ve had very little rain this year in our region and the timothy fields could really do with a drop or two! The grass would usually be double the height of this by now so we need to wait for some further growth before cutting. Some of the fields around us are very scorched and dry so we’re lucky that the crop is still staying green and healthy. If everyone can go and do a rain dance now, we’d appreciate it! 🌧

Over the next couple of weeks we’re going to share the process of how we harvest our hay! It’s a chance to see behind the scenes on the farm in Gloucestershire where we grow, harvest and dispatch all of your orders! Keep a look out for our stories! 👀 The images above show one of our timothy hay fields both before and during our first harvest of the year.. fingers crossed for some good weather for our next batch!

Sad news ☹️

On Friday morning last week, we sadly lost one of our employees who was only aged 24.

The news came as a complete shock to us and the whole team are utterly devestated. We closed early on Friday to allow us to try and grieve for our dear friend and colleague. We all have many fond memories and words can’t describe how much we will all miss you.

We are a little behind on dispatching by 1-2 days because of this and would please ask for your understanding during this difficult time for us.

“8 Weeks ago we switched to Hay Box just by chance as I had read good reviews.
We have a female Bunny who suffers with Spurs recently she’s being monitored every 8 weeks for these and we thought she might have to have dental surgery again in the very near future. At her check up tonight the vet was so impressed as her spurs have naturally corrected this has to be down to the great quality stalky hay she had been chomping for the last 8 Weeks. It amazing and means she won’t need an high risk aesthetic and surgery.
