Meet Sandy!

Hello,
My name is Sandy and I am about 2 1/2-3 years old and weight 62 lbs. I was found as a stray so I don't have any information on my previous life. I believe I was raised right because I know my basic manners, sit, down and shake. I am house and crate trained, enjoy hanging out in my crate. I do stay out of my crate when my foster family isn't home.

I need daily walks and I am great on leash and non reactive to other dogs. I am more focused on reading my "doggie newspaper" with my nose to the ground. I see other dogs and squirrels but just look and continue my walk.

I do love shoes but don't worry I am not destructive, I did chew on some laces but with the help of my foster mom I learned not to chew on them anymore. I just like to bring them to my crate or outside with me. I also like to steel an occasional sock when one of the boys drops them on the floor.

Stuffed animals are wonderful and they come outside with me to hang out in the backyard. I take good care of them and all limbs are in tact. My favorite activity beside walking is playing "doggie soccer" with a basketball, I love to chase after it and block it. I do zoomies in the backyard and love to hang out in the backyard when my foster family is home.

I love car rides but do get car sick if I don't have any Dramamine 2+ hours in advance. I did great at the vet and the groomers when I went for a bath and nail trim.

I have a very sweet temperament but I do bark at things from inside the fence but its rare for me to bark in the house or at the doorbell. Going to Lowes is a fun outing and the employees give me treats.

I love kids and get excited when the two teenage boys I live with come home. Other kids from age 4 and up come to the fence and pet me. Some come inside and I love to hang out with them too.

I usually sleep on a dog bed upstairs but lately I sleep on the been bag in the bonus room because I can look out the doors and see what's going on.

I am a good eater and I take my treats gently. I don't dumpster dive so the trash can is safe when no one is home.

My ideal forever home would have kid/kids, fenced in backyard, active family that loves walks, playing outside with me and belly rubs.

Hi there! I’m Rufus, a handsome bi-colored boy, about a year and a half old, weighing 60 pounds. I’m a sweet and social pup who loves giving kisses and making my people happy. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and a polite barker (only when needed!). I get along well with other dogs but might do best in a cat-free home. I’d love a backyard to run around in and a family that enjoys walks and outings—I’m even up for joining you at a restaurant! If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate companion, come meet me!

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, so we wanted to remind everyone that we have a couple of older dogs in foster who would make great pets. Two that come to mind are stately Maverick (a spry 7) and "little" Lexi (about 9). With a senior dog, especially dogs who have been in foster, you get an idea of their personality and past history. Seniors are often calm, but with just enough canine energy to boost your spirits and provide healthy companionship. And some believe that the perfect match for elderly humans is a senior dog. It depends on the situation, but November is a good month to think about it...and maybe fill out an adoption application! https://www.gsdrescue.org/

Meet Lexi!!

Lexi is a stunning black and tan beauty who has made an incredible comeback after being rescued in terrible condition from a local shelter. When she first arrived, she was emaciated, suffering from severe skin and ear infections, and missing fur, yet she was still eager to connect with people. With months of medicated baths, good food, and loving care, Lexi has transformed into a tall, sleek girl with a beautiful flying trot who’s now ready for her forever home.

At 8-9 years old, Lexi strikes the perfect balance of energy and maturity—playful yet calm. She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and doesn’t show any destructive behavior when left loose. Smart and food-motivated, Lexi loves nothing more than chasing after a tennis ball or going for walks. In the evenings, she’s content to curl up on the couch or dog bed and relax with her family.

Lexi would do best as the only dog in her new home, where she can be the star of the show. While she gets along well with male dogs, she can be a bit dominant around hyper females. If you have a fenced yard and are willing to spend time playing fetch, Lexi will be the happiest girl around. She’s an all-around wonderful companion who’s ready to bring joy, love, and loyalty to her new family.

Tis the season to be thankful for all the blessings in our lives, and these pups are FOREVER grateful they are being taken care of by GSRA and Fosters. They are ready for their furever homes and will be attending the Meet & Greet this Saturday, November 9 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Pet Supermarket. Come on out for some puppy lovin'! Meet Pete- The Sprinkler Enthusiast! 🌊🐶

Meet Pete, the sprinkler-loving superstar! 🌊🐾 Pete’s on the lookout for his forever home and he’s ready to charm you with his playful, silly, and totally fun personality. He loves hanging out with other dogs of all sizes and might even be cool with some dog-savvy cats. Pete’s all about the water, leash walks, and, of course, treats! He’s potty trained and sleeps like a champ in his crate, waking up ready for new adventures every day. This snuggly boy is expected to be around 60 lbs as an adult and loves a good nap in your lap. Pete would be happiest with a playful dog buddy and a fenced yard to romp around in. He’s great with older kids, but his playful puppy nibbling means he might not be the best fit for very young children right now. MEET PETE!!!!!!! Little Pete is now interviewing families to see who gets the honor of being his happy ever after. Pete is a typical puppy - playful, silly, mischievous, and happy. His antics will keep you entertained all day long. He loves other dogs, has lived with large and small, male and female. Would probably be okay with dog savvy cats. He loves water, a leash walk and treats, lots of treats. He is potty trained, with frequent trips outside. He sleeps through the night in his crate, recharging for a new day of fun and adventure. He will likely be 60ish lbs as an adult. He’s a snuggly boy who will crawl in your lap when he’s ready for a nap. Pete would do best with a playful dog and a fenced yard. He would be fine with older children, but as all puppies do, he’s still a little mouthy, which would not be good with very young children. MEET BISCUIT: Hello, I'm Biscuit! At around 50 pounds, I'm a petite German Shepherd mix with a coat as warm and golden as a perfectly baked biscuit. My foster mom thinks I might have some Lab in me too. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and a quiet, well-behaved girl. I love other dogs and would be thrilled to have a furry friend in my forever home. I’m a quick learner, especially when treats are involved, and I enjoy playing in the yard or just chilling out with you. I’m still getting used to the world, but I'm gaining confidence every day.
