This dog was dumped by his owners after attempting to surrender him at another shelter. We really need someone to be his voice if you do know his owners as this is a prosecutable offense. We are working with that shelter to identify them.

Imagine being driven to an unfamiliar place by your people and pushed from their car..they didn’t deserve him.

***They may live on Bleeker St. in Utica.***

Please help me to find our kitty (Cynthia Dumas)!
Missing in Mohawk, near Napa.
Went missing on the 1st of February.
She's just under 6 pounds and 8 years old.
She's basically feral other than coming out at night to snuggle with my daughter. They've been life long friends and she's heartbroken.

She escaped during remodeling of our home.
Please help us find her! Reward if found. 💔

This dog has been loose for a few hours by Barringer Rd Ilion .( in the road, and behind fish & game club) People have been trying to catch him.

Message we received: " I picked up a cat that someone had hit, and left in the street on 1/30/24 in Mohawk in the area of Napa and the car dealerships. I didn't get any pictures because it was too upsetting. if anyone is missing their small black kitty I believe with white paws and white on the tip of its tail, it was very much still alive this am and I took it to the Herkimer County Humane Society. It didn't have a chip or collar.. just thought maybe you could post this in case someone is missing their fur baby"

The individual who brought this distraught pup in as a stray allegedly found on Rt. 28 was actually her current owner. Her name is Lucy and she is safe with us.
Please know we need complete honesty and transparency if you no longer want your pet. Being dishonest does not give us the tools helpful to us to place your pet in a new home. This is the perfect learning opportunity and we have been provided useful information that will help Lucy thrive in her next -hopefully forever-home. These things include the reasons for walking Lucy into the shelter that day. We now know Lucy does not enjoy the company of rabbits or cats, eats things she shouldn’t like pillows and ripped plastic off a window. Lucy is 10 months old and homeless already.
Please watch for updates on her availability and please stop giving your pets away on social media or CL.
