These two absolutely adore each other! After running, playing, wrestling and playing tag hide and go seek, the little one needed to catch up on nap time!

Miss Meadow has definitely chosen her human 🥰
She absolutely LOVES her CatBoys, but CatDad may have unknowingly become Meadow's #1.

Every time CatDad comes home from work, Meadow begins following him everywhere. She loves to climb his legs and asked to be picked up. She adores the view from upon high (Catdad is over 6'2), and there is SO much to be seen from that height 😆

CatDad had absolutely fallen under her spell and loves to spoil this little princess with love, cuddles, and walks from a high perch 🥰

What is it about their little noses, their little mouths, and their big whiskers that just make it the CUTEST thing on planet Earth?!

Oakley was peacefully sleeping in Mama's spot on the bed, and I just had to snap a pic. She always snuggles into my pillow and goes into groot position for her mid-day naps! I love the weekends when I can cuddle in and watch a show with her 🥰

Meadow appreciation post!

Not to be biased, but isn't she the absolute CUTEST! My absolute favorite part of her coloring is her two front legs. The little pattern is just too adorable for words. I didn't know you could have a favorite cat pattern 😆🥰.

In the second photo, we have (from top to bottom), Ellie, Oakley, and Nova. The three of them were napping on my bed while Meadow found a super adorable nap spot in my yarn basket 🥰😍🥰. Yes, their Catmom crochets!

Finally, Ellie was staring adoringly at Meadow while we cuddled and had morning coffee.

My little animal pack makes our whole family so incredibly happy. We could not be more lucky that all our girls adore each other too!

My sweet angel babies, Oakley and Meadow, have truly bonded as sisters. These two LOVE to play and chase each other down the hall.
Every morning when the CatBoys wake up for school, you can hear these two running back and forth from their room to under my bed for their daily zoomie time! Everyone gets tuckered out before CatMom starts work, and the timing could not be more perfect!

And the best news of all! Meadow and Nova are officially friends, and she is fully integrated into the family!

Nova has major puppy energy, so we wanted to make that the slowest introduction. Nova is a bundle of loving energy, and we ensured every move forward was Meadow's choosing.
Nova has been behind a gate this entire time to ensure she doesn't run up and scare sweet Meadow. She has been going over and sniffing Nova but had yet to join her in the same room.
This morning, Meadow jumped up onto the baby gate, sniffed Nova nose to his nose, and jumped into the room with her! They smelled each other and roamed around, becoming friends, just like that! I could not be more proud!

Meadow is now officially cat and dog friendly!

Ellie was her soft introduction into the dog world and Nova the puppy energy introduction, and she did phenomenal with both!

CatMom was away for a week on a trip, so we haven't been posting any pictures! I sure did miss all of my fur-babies!

Meadow is currently "loaf-sleeping" behind me on my work chair, Oakley and Nova are curled up out of view, and Ellie is fast asleep on my bed to my left. I am so happy to be re-united with these little angels 😇 💗

WE DID IT! After Ellie gave her seal of approval, Oakley officially welcomed Meadow into the family! I've struggled to get clear photos as they've been playing like crazy! Zoomies all over the house, and Oakley couldn't be happier! She will tucker baby Meadow out in no time!

What a big day for baby Meadow!

We had a trip to the vets office where she got to explore the office and make new friends with the vet and technicians! She was an absolute rock star for her vaccine (she is treat motivated!), and we got the all-clear for her eye and spay sutures! We got ourselves a very healthy kitten! She loved the car ride and was so calm and relaxed. She bathed herself, then fell asleep in the sunshine 🥰

She also got to have her first face to face with her future best friend, Ellie!

Ellie LOVED her immediately. She is the perfect cat dog, incredibly calm and sweet. Meadow took to her right away! She watched her for a few minutes, but quickly started to follow her around the room 🥰

These two are going to be close, I can already see it. I actually think Ellie likes cats better than dogs (don't tell her dog sister, Nova, though!)

Catboy #3 was slotted to stay home with Meadow today, but he had some important school work to complete, so he swapped for Friday.

What does that mean?! To Mama's office we go!! My newest co-worker is bringing me SO much joy today 🥰❤️

She may steal the work chair, but I don't mind standing if this little cutie will provide me with that much adorableness!! 😉

Today, Catboy #1 stayed home to snuggle huggle and help further the introduction of his beloved Oakley to our new baby, Meadow!

We had periods of close sniffing and curiosity, followed by a duet of eating treats together, in and amongst Oakley's hissing at sweet baby Meadow.

Meadow is SO sweet, loving, and easygoing. She was incredibly slow to help Oakley feel better about the meet, but she would also consistently come a tad closer and closer! Perfection. Oakley would alternate between friendly sniffing and hissing! But - more progress!!

Meadow is READY, and Oakley needs a tad more time until they are true BFF's 🥰

Meadow, sweet Meadow ❤️

This little angel has quickly stolen our hearts! She is so playful, but most of all, loving and snuggly ❤️ I think she is very pleased to have a constant human companion! I may have let Catboy #2 stay home from school so she can continue to get her desired snuggle huggies (as Catboy #1 calls them) and play time!

Oakley and Meadow have now seen each other for a while through the gate. Oakley definitely hissed a number of times, but it ended with them touching paws through the gate (progress!). We will continue through the gate until they both decide they are ready! Neither were puffed up and Meadow was so sweetly laying down and waiting for Oakley to approach. She's such a smart girl!

Well, this little sweetheart settled in her new home in about 2.5 seconds!
She confidently walked out of the carrying kennel and into her safe room, ready for pets, love,
and play! She is BEYOND affectionate 🥰 Running over to everyone for immediate pets and love!
She explored her new space and was happy as can be in an instant. I was so surprised how easygoing she is!
She was able to play with all 3 Catboys, and then we let her settle in quietly with Catboy #2. She cuddled up to his legs and had a relaxing nap. She has been an absolute champ with taking her eye drops (one more day to go and then all done!) but as long as there is a treat in sight, we have no issues giving her drops (much better than Cat-Dad, that's for sure!).

She spent all night sleeping snuggled up with Catboy #2 and didn't wake up until he did (or was quiet enough not to be noticed!). She is so incredibly loving!

This little lady has been such a fabulous addition 😍. We will do slow introductions with Oakley, Ellie, and Nova (in that order) .... Oakley has seen her a few times from the door and is very curious and spends periods of time camped outside the saferoom, lol.

We will try and keep her cone on until Friday, but may give her a few test periods without it later on in the week. Just want to be sure she doesn't rub her eye *although it looks absolutely fantastic!

Did you hear the big news!!! Oakley is getting a new baby sister!! Shaw will be joining our family on Saturday!

Catboy #2 has officially re-named her Meadow!

We can not wait to introduce her to her new animal pack and look forward to all the play, snuggles and love, sure to follow!

A childhood pet is one of the most special connections one has in their life.

For me, it was Brandy and Nugget. Two amazing dogs that still visit me in my dreams, even though they've been gone over 20 years.

My beautiful baby girl, Oakley ❤️

Every day, I am thankful to have this sweet soul in our lives.

Want to hear our big confession, though?! Prior to our sweet baby girl, my husband and I had declared ourselves only "dog people." Both of us grew up with family dogs and had no experience with cats. We had no interest in adding a kitten family member. That is until we had our youngest son (Catboy #1). He had an obvious love for cats from the moment he could speak. EVERYTHING in his life revolved around his love of cats. From the posters on his wall to the t-shirts he wore to the stuffies he requested... we had cat paraphernalia everywhere. And oh boy, did he talk about cats. Every other sentence was about cats!
We just knew his childhood would not be as special, without the addition of a kitten.

We contacted Tiny Kittens Rescue, and they matched us up with Oakley (at that time she was known as Goose). If you read our previous posts, you can tell how much we adore her. She is absolutely perfect for us in every way. We love her beyond words.

I count my lucky stars every day that Catboy #1 had a love of cats that seemed to be a part of his soul. He opened up a world of love that we never knew. He turned our entire family into Cat-People, who can now advocate for and share the love of cats with everyone we know. We wouldn't have known how truly wonderful and life altering the love of a cat is in one's life without him. ❤️

We can volunteer at cat rescues and adoption events and try and help these wonderful beings find loving homes. We can advocate for spay and neutering to keep the population under control. And we can show the world how beautiful all cats and kittens are.

The love one little boy has for cats has so perfectly altered the lives around him 🥰 and we could not be more proud.

Oakley's morning ritual.

When Oakley sees Catboy #1 and Catboy #2 get their coats and shoes on, she runs to the front door ledge for her goodbye pets and kisses. The bond she had formed with all our boys is so incredibly heartwarming 💕

When she hears them return from school, she always runs to join her dog-sisters to welcome them home!

Our dog kennel is always left open for impromptu nap times, and you can almost always find Oakley sleeping peacefully in the dog kennel. It melts my heart when I looked over and Nova had joined her for nap time 🥰

*Not sure Oakley loved being woken up 🤣 but they are such sweet sisters together ❤️ and they quickly fell back asleep together.

Cats are such an amazing resource for those who raise dogs. Having Oakley has made raising Nova so much better. Nova has become a more well-rounded, well-adjusted, and all-around better dog for having Oakley as her sister. I am thankful for the lessons Oakley teaches, the playmate, the role model, the companionship can not be beat 🥰

I will never again get a puppy, without getting a rescue kitten as a companion. ❤️

Oakley is the BEST co-worker there ever was 🥰 She found the most perfect nap spot under my computer riser while I work. Every time I look down at her sweet face, I get a burst of love and happiness.
