Update - the 'Fab Four' siblings.
These four teens have now been in the pound for over three months. They've never lived indoors, walked on leads or played with toys. The best chance these dogs have at being socialised is in a warm, patient, experienced home environment, and that's exactly what the girls are now getting to experience.

Poor Bruce - still waiting at the pound. 😕

Unfortunately not all trials are successful, and that's ok as we'd rather make sure we get the right match, however we do have fingers crossed for Diva and Fudge.

We have some very happy, very cosy pound pups thanks to the lovely Nicole, who made the jackets and donated the toys.
And to the wonderful team at Fundraising for Impounded Dogs - New Zealand who fundraised for the blankets.
Our hearts are full.

Bruce has had enough of pound life and would love a home of his own 🏡

One of 4 siblings that came into the pound three months ago this chilled out boy has had no interest.

Approximately a year old, Bruce is a Bulldog x Sharpei.
He is good with other dogs, learning to walk on a lead but is still shy and will need time, patience and basic training. He looooves his food!

Can you give Bruce a warm, welcoming home?

Well I would like to thank Hauraki Pound Pups for suggesting that we take TREVOR. At first it was to train up for a new home..TREVOR walked into our house and straight away into our hearts..He's the easiest dog I have had to train..Just sorting out things with him that he thinks are scary but he's an amazing boy. Who ever had this dog definitely didn't know what they had and my advice would be to never get another dog as if you can't feed and train this dog you can't train any dog . JUST A BEAUTIFUL BOY .💕💕

We don't usually share community rehomes as we haven't met the dogs. However, we can vouch for these two, and their dear owner who was an absolute legend in Whiritoa, and beyond. Once named the oldest Surf Life Saver in NZ, Bill Goodwin sadly passed away recently aged 96. Let's get these two dogs into loving homes in his honour. 💕 Please contact Keeping up with the Kurī

° Desex
° Provide experienced foster homes that can focus on training, socialising and introducing them to the world
° Rehabilitate and rehome

💥What can Hauraki Pound Pups do?
° Register, microchip and parvo vax
° Deliver dogs to airports - Akld, Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga
° Drive dogs a reasonable distance from our district.

We know rescues are full but this is their only chance. 😳
