A big day for Freya yesterday.
First a drive to Auckland Airport with ACO Clive (after a nice shower and shampoo), then it was off on a plane to Christchurch. ❤️
A heartfelt thank you to our team and to Christchurch Bull Breed Rescue for giving this lovely girl a second chance.

Sometimes the perfect home is just worth waiting for.
Baxter is settling in well with his new buddies Mark and Luke, and dog bro R***r. 🐾
He waited patiently for such a long time to find his furever home.

A huge thank you to dog trainer Rhonda Walch for the love, care and dedication, ensuring Baxter was ready for his new adventure. 💕

Our team was a little overwhelmed when 4 teen pups came into our care.
Having missed out on basic puppy training these 6 month old pups had never walked on leads, been house trained and they chewed their collars off.
Perseverance had finally paid off. ❤️
Firstly a huge thank you to the dedicated Hauraki Pound Pups team for all the work they've put into gaining their trust,showing them love and not giving up hope.
Nui and Suzy are now both adopted into loving new homes.
Rosie and Moana are in amazing foster homes and available for adoption thanks to All Paws Count Murupara Trust and Paws - Restart .
It certainly takes a a village to save lives and we are grateful for the amazing support we receive.

We have just received this lovely update from Mia's new family. 😍

"Happy Xmas from Mia and Felix
We are so proud of little Mia. She is recalling perfectly, responding to commands and generally a happy well adjusted wee dog.
She went to the Waihi Xmas parade with us and coped admirably with the sirens, horns, people etc."

Thank you for giving Mia a loving new home. ❤️

UPDATE - Unfortunatelywe have not been able to locate Harry's owner.
Adoption applications will close on Monday 4/12.

"Handsome Harry" (named by our team), is still waiting for his owner. 😔
His post has been shared far and wide and still no one has come forward.

We will be taking applications for his adoption if he is unclaimed.

A huge THANK YOU to All Paws Count Murupara Trust and the wonderful team at Barrowman and Goodman Vets for desexing these three lads.
ACO Darren has made two return trips to Rotorua for their surgeries and they're all recovering well.

Baxter, Alf and Nui are ready and waiting for their new homes 🏡

Just an up date on baxter's first night.
Slept all night in his crate with no worries.
His sits are getting much better and learning to tug then leave a toy..
Good with other dogs and my parrot.
I have no worries in putting this Good boy up for adoption ..Just love this boys nature ❤ 💕

He's a large boy who possibly hasn't finished growing and doesn't realise his size. What he lacks in manners he certainly makes up for in enthusiasm. 😊
Alf would be best suited to an experienced owner who can teach him some basic puppy skills. 🐾

Love dogs? 🐾 💕

We are looking for a part time POUND ASSISTANT.

This role is a casual position, on call/as required, with flexible hours which can fit around your other commitments.

Based in Paeroa, we operate 7 days a week. Hours depend on how many guests we have. 🐕
We are looking for someone who is confident around large dogs, is physically fit and over 16 yrs old.
Duties include cleaning kennels, feeding and exercising dogs.

Here's Nui, the last of the four "teen" pups that we have worked tirelessly to find placements for.

The only male, he has settled into pound life well and now needs a home of his own. Like his siblings, Nui has never slept inside, been on a lead or learned basic puppy manners. He has a great temperament and is growing in confidence daily. He can be adopted on his own or with his sister, Suzy.

Wee Rosie was the smallest and most timid of the four teen pups that recently found themselves in the pound.
These siblings have missed out on all the puppy basics, needing some TLC before being ready for adoption.
The amazing Galina NZ from All Paws Count Murupara Trust has come to the rescue again!
Rosie is settling well into fostercare and enjoying many luxuries for the very first time.
We appreciate the work and dedication put in by rescue organisations and individuals across NZ. They are literally saving lives. 💕

Introducing Suzy ❤️
This lovely pup is looking for a very special home.
Found fending for herself with her siblings she was bought into the pound.
Suzy has never lived indoors, walked on a lead or been taught basic manners. She's approx 8 months old and will be a medium-large dog.
She'll need a home with a patient owner who is willing to put the work in.
She has already shown lots of promise, learning to trust people and starting to go for walks. She'll absolutely thrive in the right environment.

Alternatively, we may consider a foster home for Suzy so she is able to learn the basics before she's adopted.

A wee bit of a goofy ratbag, Baxter is a young boy, eager to learn and very loyal.
Not great at being left home alone for long periods of time so a dog playmate would be great ♥️
