2 years in the shelter. Please, please share this sweet face 💔

Jackie, Jack Jack, Jacqueline, Jacqueline Marie (yes we gave her a middle name) whatever you call her she’s in your lap and ready to hug. She loves any attention you’re willing to give.

She’ll chase the ball as many times as you throw it and needs to take back a toy to her kennel even if it’s filthy. Jolly balls are a favorite but even an empty water jug will do. She loves to sunbathe and then take a dip in the pool but she’ll brave the snow and cold just as quickly.

She loves her walks and doesn’t pull much . She likes to sniff and take her time hopefully stopping for a treat break

Coming to the shelter so young after living in a yard and being at the shelter for 2 years she hasn’t perfected her manners but she’s come a long way.

The perfect place a nice quiet house for her to relax and learn the finer things in life. House without other dogs recommended.
Dog beds, couches, her own toys, her own people to love.

**NILLA NEEDS A HOME**
Nilla #21-184. Arrived 6/8/2021 at 2-3 years old.
Vanilla Nilla is a little bit on the nervous side, but she relaxes with reassurance and calm. She has shown some stress in the shelter environment and does calm down once outside of the kennels. Nilla takes a little time to find her inner trust and she does make a connection once she has it. Nilla enjoys being pet and talked to, she can be a strong girl when being walked on leash. Nilla does not seem to be a fan of the other pups at the shelter.

Please someone make Finley’s Xmas wish come true and adopt him

**FINN NEEDS A HOME**
Finnley #19-430. Arrived 9/13/19 at 4 years old.
Finnley needs a very special family. He is shy and sweet and looking for love. Finn is a nervous boy who needs a quiet home to learn how to be a dog. He has had a very hard life and needs an understanding and patient family to help him decompress and acclimate to home life.
Finnley was living chained in an outside pen. The shelter was called to come get him because his owner passed away and no one in the home was caring for him in the yard. The amazing staff and volunteers have taken care of Finn and now he needs to move on and find his family. Finn needs a quiet home with teens & up where he can relax and receive some much needed TLC. He can be shy and nervous with new people but once he warms up, he's super loving & affectionate. Finnley is not dog social and needs to be the only pet.
Finn loves to play fetch, go in the pool, roll in the grass, learn new tricks and just be with you. He just needs someone who will give him time and patience to become the best boy he can be.

From the Rainbow Bridge, 9/11/2001

On the morning of September 11, 2001, there was an unprecedented amount of activity at the Rainbow Bridge. Decisions had to be made. They had to be made quickly. And, they were. An issue, not often addressed here, is the fact that many residents really have no loved ones for whom to wait. Think of the pups who lived and died in hideous puppy mills. No one on earth loved or protected them. What about the many who spent unhappy lives tied in backyards? And the ones who were abused...whom are they to wait for? We don't talk about that much up here. We share our loved ones as they arrive, and are happy to do so. But we all know there is nothing like having your very own person who thinks you are the most special pup in the Heavens.
On this particular Tuesday morning a request rang out for pups not waiting for specific persons to volunteer for special assignment. An eager, curious crowd excitedly surged forward, each pup wondering what the assignment would be. They were told by a solemn voice that unexpectedly, all at once, over 4000 loving people had left Earth long before they were ready. All the pups, as all pups do, felt the humans' pain deep in their own hearts. Without hearing more, there was a clamoring among them.
"May I have one to comfort?"
"I'll take two...I have a big heart!"
"I have been saving kisses forever!"
One after another they came forward, begging for assignment. One cozy-looking fluffy pup asked hesitantly, "Are there any children coming? I would be very comforting for a child ‘cuz I'm soft and squishy and I always wanted to be hugged."
A group of Dalmatians came forward asking to meet the firefighters and be their friends. The larger working breeds offered to greet the police officers and make them feel at home. Little dogs volunteered to do what they do best: cuddle and kiss.
Dogs who had never had a kind word or a pat on the head while they were on Earth stepped forward and said, "I will love any human who needs love."
Then all the dogs, no matter where on Earth they originally came from, rushed to the Rainbow Bridge and stood waiting, overflowing with love to share, each tail wagging an American flag.

Shep 💙 Sweet senior who loves to play with his stuffies, and enjoys the pool. Age is just a number to Shep! This stud muffin seeks a home with Kids OVER 16 & NO OTHER PETS!!! The shelter environment is stressful on all dogs and Shep has recorded bites on record within the shelter; an experienced savvy owner or one familiar with the breed is a MUST!!! Shep is heartworm positive and would need to continue treatment once adopted. **HW treatment being sponsored upon adoption, as is his adoption fee.

HELP SAVE MOOSE!!! He is currently at Babylon Animal Shelter and needs medical care and immediate retraining so he can find his furever home. His health is declining in the shelter environment as it is very stressful. Please help save him by making a donation for his retraining. His life Depends on it!!!!
