What DRIVE is your DOG in??? 🐾 Defense Drive: these are your reactive fearful insecure or unsure dogs. They go into flight or fight mode. 🐾Prey Drive: These are your more vocal chasing, hunting, nose to the ground sniffing dogs. We tend to experience a great deal of stress worry and anxiety when we don’t understand what is expected in a relationship or of us. ♥️ 🙏 Please consider how this animal who doesn’t even speak our language must us feel. 🐾 Giving your dog a chance to think and make the right choice after proper guidance and reward based training allows to build confidence in themselves and your relationship when your present and not helping develop coping skills. STARK the Dalmatian: Today Stark & Mom worked on their sits in proper position. Stark has a habit of swinging her but out and sitting sideways so to avoid and correct this we are practicing up against a straight away. You can use a fence, wall or anything with a straight edge to encourage the correct postion. It is important to not that the reason this behavior occurs in a lot of dogs is the expected rewards or reward placement is delivered across the body therefore the dog anticipates the reward opposite them and adjust to receive it quicker. Keeping your lure or reward in the same hand above and behind the dogs head will help curve the forging and undesired behavior. Great job ladies!
