I just realized we should have posted. I am so sorry we didn't.

We and all the dogs are safe from Hurricane Helene.
We had minimal flooding and wind damage. While we did lose power 🔋 for a short while, we do have a generator, and it was restored quickly.

Others around us were not so lucky, and the western part of the state is completely devastating 💔. Please keep them all in your prayers as the recovery process will be long and slow.

For those of you who checked in, thank you.

It's been a hot minute since we have had any downtime. (Amy is working longer shifts at the bakery, so Hunter has been on dog duty, including training and shuttling the kids to all their different activities) (still not really any downtime lol)

A lot has been going on since school started and we wanted to share:

❤️Mackie❤️ found her new furever home! 🙌🙌 she is settling in nicely.

Jax (he is on the right in all the photos of 2 puppies) started his started puppy training.🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺

And his brother, The Fuzzy Puppy (bc he is soo fuzzy) is still looking for his new home. He is a perfect candidate 🐕‍🦺 for our started puppy program as he is training right a long with Jax.

Hey, Twilight Retriever Families!

We want to apologize for not being as communicative as we normally are.

Amy's work has gotten extremely busy and doesn't seem to be slacking off.

So, for now, we would like all communication to go directly to Hunter. His cell is 980.241.8127.
Please know that he has awful service at home, but he will answer texts as he gets them.

Currently, we have 1 black male still available from Sassy and Apollo (pictured above). And Ms. Mackie is still looking for her new home.

We have a new puppy photo model!

Liam excitedly volunteered for the position today so Hunter could get some updated photos of Sassy's puppies today! They were officially 8 weeks old on Saturday!

We still have 1 male currently looking for his new home. Let us know if you would like more information 😊

We have 1 black male still looking for a home. They can go home at the end of July!

We also have our started black female Mackie looking for her furever home. She can go home in early August.

Both females and 1 male are spoken for. We do still have 1 sweet little guy looking for his new home. Puppies can go home 7/27.

Our eyes are open. Our dew claw scabs are getting ready to fall off. We are making a bigger mess than our mama can deal with, so we had to get shavings today.
Officially 2.5 weeks old and only 1 male is still available!

Go home date is 7/27.

Lots of things are happening at Twilight Retrievers this week!

We have peepers on the puppies! 👀 we have 1 male and 1 female currently available (go home, end of July)

I finally got some good photos of Apollo. (Dad)

And Mackie is still looking for her new family. She has almost completed her started puppy training.

🐾Available Started Puppy🐾

One of our current started puppy had a family situation come up suddenly, and they are having to postpone their puppy coming home for a few months.

Mackie (we can change her name) is a sweetheart 💕. She has almost completed her training and will be ready to go home as early as next week (after 6/18)

She is crate trained, 90% in the house (it will take about 1-2 weeks for you to recognize her needs, and her to recognize your schedule). She is well socialized, and does well with kids and other dogs. She is aware of cats and respects them (for the most part). She has been working on a lead and we will go thru all of that training with her new family before she goes home.

She is very curious and outgoing, and she does like to carry, so she would be a good candidate as a Retriever.

I have spoken to all of our current families, so I can now officially announce Sassy and Apollos litter!

Born 6/1/2024, we have 2 black females and 2 black males.

We currently have 1 black male spoken for. Puppies will be available to go home at the end of July. Please message for more information.

Would like everyone to know that Sassys Litter has arrived, safe and healthy.

The kids and I are taking a family trip for a few days, and I will not be on my phone or social media. Hunter will be home caring for Mama and her babies.

I will begin contacting families on Friday.

We have had so many storms the last few weeks that it's been hard to get photos like we had hoped.

Hunter got a beautiful photo of this rainbow 🌈 this evening, and I was able to grab a few photos of Sassy this afternoon. Sassy is one of our prettiest dogs, but she is so awkward when the camera comes out, lol.

The started puppies outgrew their collars and needed new ones.

Green is Wh**ey (our puppy)
Blue is Bradley
Pink is Hazel
Purple is Mackie
Teal is Poppy

We made a temporary fenced in area that we will actually be turning into a raised bed garden area in the fall. It allows us to have the puppies out quite a bit. Then we take them out 1 at a time to the big yard for 1 on 1 time with Hunter or myself or the kids. They are 16 weeks old and will be starting leash work in about 2-3 weeks.

You guys are the absolute best! 💯

We have had a super busy few weeks but managed to squeeze in time for the kiddos to go to their school spring carnival last Friday with friends.

💕All of our current puppies have found homes!
💕Started puppy training is underway.
💕Sassy and Apollo have been bred for a hopeful June litter.
💕Peaches and Flint were our first 2 retired moms to go home, and they are adjusting to their new lives well.
💕We are getting all updated photos 📸 of our current dogs so that we can truly update the website, with photos, bios, information, etc. This is a big project, and I am doing the best I can. Thank you for your patience as we make this happen.

🥰the kids and I are going to be out of town (and off social media) for the weekend as we go visit with my brother and his family and my parents. If it is urgent, please text or call.

This was the female puppy we were planning to keep so she is absolutely stunning 😍.

Darington went to his Furever home today! He is going to be tagging a long with his new mom while she becomes a Large Animal Vet! We're going to miss you buddy, but we are excited to hear your stories!

Hey, Twilight Retriever Families!

I want to apologize for being so quiet the last few weeks. It's been a little hectic at our house. Being a family run business, sometimes we just need to take a quick break and regroup.

We ended up not having the 2 litters we had hoped to have this spring, and we appreciate all of the kind words and prayers from the families that were expecting puppies. Sometimes, God has a bigger plan than us, and we need to take a step back and listen to it. 😢

That being said, we are making some decisions as a family. We are still very much going to continue breeding our English labs. Hunter has worked so hard to create our bloodlines, and we know that they are something truly special. But we need to do it on a smaller scale. So we are in the process of retiring some of our moms. They will be posted here and on our website as we make these decisions. They are not made lightly as all of them were born here and are a part of our family ❤️.

We still have 2 beautiful black puppies available, who would make great started puppies, but are also at the perfect age (13 weeks) for you to hit the ground running with training yourself.

I have all but Wh**ey (future stud) pictured (Brad, Hazel, and Mackie are all part of our started puppy program and just started crate training this week)

We have decided to find a home for Peyton (black female puppy from Raven and Gus) as when she is 2, she will be related to all but one of our studs. She is very sweet and absolutely beautiful 😍.

Darington is still looking for his furever home (Flora and Gavin black male) and would make an excellent candidate for a therapy dog. He is super attentive and very snuggly. 💙

Meet Maple 🍁. She is quite the snuggler, and loves togetherness. It's hard to get a good picture when they are glued to you (ie completely underneath you 😉). We figured a video of her would be a good way to show off her personality and size! She just needs a little more polishing before she goes home. She will be our standard Started Puppy cost.

Our secret to being happy....

LC is relaxing in the AC with Hunter and the boys while they eat lunch, and watch the weather report. Such a good girl!

It has been a battle to keep the Labradors cool, the last few days, but having plenty of water available to play in as well as drink will certainly help. Always be careful with an overly hot dog and cold water. Their system can be easily shocked. I hope everyone is staying safe and cool! Have a great day!

The 4 legged kiddos enjoyed their snow play yesterday! Peaches really wanted to figure out sledding but wasn't brave enough to try it lol. Gavin was just so happy to be able to romp in the cold wet snow! We got about 4 inches of snow, and a lot of sleet. Our local emergency staff is telling everyone to stay off the road ways if possible. (We live off of a side road, so we won't even see a plow) the high today is 31° so there won't be any melting either. It's too cold to take the puppies out to play in the snow, but I will be taking updated photos for everyone later today! Stay warm!
