💔 No one has come forward for our little Obi man…

Obi was found 10 days ago in Slade Point, and after taking him to the vet for a check-up, we’re absolutely devastated to share that he has tested positive for heartworm.

I feel like a broken record - this is something that could have been prevented with vaccinations.

Now, Obi faces the fight of his life as he begins treatment… and we’re right beside him every step of the way. Despite all he has been through and the challenge ahead, Obi is a beautiful little boy and coming out of his shell more everyday.

We are always facing a growing mountain of vet bills, especially with other dogs still undergoing Heartworm Treatment and this news has broken us - but we will not give up on Obi!

We’re reaching out for help to give Obi the chance he deserves 🐾

Here’s what he needs:
• Microchip – $70
• Vaccinations – $340
• Desexing – approx. $400
• Heartworm treatment – $1,400

🐾 Meet Raffa 🐾

Raff is a gorgeous 6-year-old Kelpie x with the sweetest, most gentle nature 💙 He’s the kind of boy who just wants to be by your side and be part of your world.

This clever lad is super obedient — he comes when called, shakes hands like a gentleman 🤝, and absolutely loves a game of fetch (and yes, he brings the ball back every time! 🎾). Raff also makes a great little watchdog 👀 and will happily keep an eye on things while you relax.

After a good morning exercise, Raff is more than happy to spend the rest of the day chilling out and soaking up the calm vibes 😌

Raff prefers being with his people but is also comfortable spending time on his own when needed — the perfect balance of affectionate and independent 🐕

We were lucky enough to receive a generous delivery from Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC), filled with essentials our pooches & puppers currently in care.
And a special thanks to Centurion Transport for bringing it up 🙌🙌

ARC were also generous enough to help our friends at Mackay Pet Rescue Incorporated & Purrrfect Treasures Cat Haven after I told them just how many cats they have in care 🫶🥰

ARC continues to make a real difference to rescue groups right across the country by supplying much-needed food and veterinary products. Their work quietly supports so many organisations like ours, allowing us to focus on what matters most—caring for animals and giving them a second chance.

Every single day, we receive requests to help scan, secure, and house lost dogs. It’s become our reality that around 7 out of every 10 are reunited with their owners… but the remaining 3 stay with us, often with nowhere else to go.

Right now, we have 13 dogs & 7 puppies currently in our care. Some are ready and waiting for their forever homes, while others are still going through vet treatment, recovery, and health testing to give them the best possible start before adoption.

When you choose to adopt, you’re not just changing one life — you’re saving two. 🐾
The dog you welcome into your home, and the next dog we’re able to take in because a space has opened up.

Our adoption fees are only a fraction of the cost of the veterinary care, rehabilitation, and love that goes into every single one of these dogs — but the impact you make is priceless.

This little guy was found in Slade Point earlier this week. Sadly, he is not microchipped or desexed.

For now, he’ll remain in our care and will be heading to the vet this week for a full check-up.

If you believe he is your dog, please contact our page directly with proof of ownership to arrange collection.

🐾 Meet another of our built-in besties! 🐾

Bailey and Oreo are the ultimate dynamic duo, bringing double the love and double the laughs wherever they go! 💛

These two are inseparable—wherever Bailey goes, you can bet Oreo is right by his side, ready with plenty of sweet kisses to share. 🐶💕

Lately, Bailey has been showing Oreo the ropes on the tractor 🚜, and Oreo has taken his role as apprentice very seriously. Safe to say, they make quite the team!

If you’re looking for twice the companionship and twice the joy, Bailey and Oreo might just be your perfect match. They can be adopted together or separately (but another dog at home is a must!)

Happy 1st birthday to our special little boy Leo 🥰🎉

We are so honoured to have you, little man, and feel incredibly lucky that you found your way into our rescue 💛

And a very special heavenly happy birthday to my Poppy Leo today too, who sadly passed away last week 🥀 🫶 Forever in our hearts — so thankful to have inherited your love of animals ❤️

The best birthday gift Leo could have asked for — we finally have some answers. Leo has been diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency).

EPI means his body isn’t producing the enzymes needed to properly digest fats, carbohydrates, and proteins, which can lead to weight loss even when he’s eating well. This is likely genetic.

While it’s not the outcome we had hoped for, it is manageable — and most importantly, it’s treatable. This will be a lifelong condition for Leo, but we will do everything in our power to make sure he lives a long, happy, and healthy life 💙

Tonight we were called to save Baby Bear! Baby Bear was bought of Facebook for $50. Poor bear is riddled with hookworm, not vaccinated, not microchipped
🚩 Bears owner supported a backyard breeder 🚩

Bear needed an urgent blood 🩸 transfusion. Ollie was more than happy to offer up the services for a few pigs ears in return 💴 however not all vet bills can be paid in pigs ears 🐽

If you can help us, yet again, pick up the pieces from the crappy system of dirty breeders, please help us save Bear 🐻

We have a bill at Andergrove Better Pet vets of $800- needing to be paid by Friday.

And whatever ongoing costs little Bear needs with our fantastic team at Northern Beaches Vet Hospital 🙌🙌

We’re sad to share that we will be losing one of our fantastic dog foster carers, only due to an experience he cannot pass up 🥺. Thank you Aaron, we are so grateful for everything you have done and to have had you as part of our team — we hope we get you back in the near future! 🙏

We are sad — but not as sad as our built-in besties who are going to have to find a new carer! Buddy & Scooby have been living together as best friend’s and it would be fantastic for the boys if we could keep them together 🫶

We’re on limited time ⏰ and desperately need a miracle foster carer who can take on one, but ideally both boys together 🐾. Scooby has separation anxiety, so Buddy has truly been the best thing for him 🐶💛.

WHY FOSTER TWO POOCHES?
- Less disruption for the dogs: as they’re already comfortable with each other, keeping them together reduces stress and confusion during the move.
- Builds trust and confidence faster: When they have each other for reassurance, many dogs settle quicker and show more of their real personalities.
- Efficiency for the rescue: It can lower the strain on the rescue system—one foster home, one set of training/support plans, and fewer transitions.

Both Scooby & Buddy are available for adoption and have had no interest so far. Both are microchipped, vaccinated and desexed — ready to find their perfect forever home ✅🐾. The boys can be adopted together or separately, but both would enjoy the company of another dog 🤝🐶.
