Hey everyone,

Sorry we've been a bit MIA. Its been very difficult trying to keep the business afloat in the last year due to COVID.

So, we've had to make the heart breaking decision to close Fairy Tails until 2022 to give us a chance to recover financially and get ourselves back on our feet.

We hope you'll all understand and we hope to see you next year!

UPDATE:

Hey everyone,
We are now fully back open and have spaces for One to One Dog walks & Pet Sitting covering Worthing - Felpham!

Initial Visits will be done slightly differently now due to social distancing and COVID-19.
Forms will be sent out online via messenger or email to be completed and then a quick visit will be done a few days before the care is due to commence to collect keys and see routines. Keeping this to a maximum of a 10 minute initial visit.

Please get in touch if you have any queries or would like to book in.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

We are hoping to re-open on 1st June. We shall be following all government guidelines and only doing solo/single household walks for the moment.
For any new enquiries, please feel free to pop us a message and email us.
Regarding new walks and inital visits, all shall be done following social distancing guidelines.

Do you recognise this cat? He is an unneutered male and was found in the Arundel Road area of Littlehampton. His fur is quite matted and he has an old abscess on his right ear as well as a scratch on the right side of his nose. He is not microchipped. Please everyone be aware!

Warning!!!! Palm Oil on beach (Kingston Gorse, Angmering / Ferring areas) dog owners, walkers please beware and SHARE
If dogs consume the palm oil it will have a laxative effect and, if eaten, can cause sickness, diarrhoea, dehydration and, in extreme cases, pancreatitis. This is toxic and can be fatal is some cases.

My partner Kieron has joined me at Fairy Tails Pet Services to expand the business and offer new and exciting services! ❤
We will soon be offering group walks on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday! 🐶
Please get in touch to register your interest and secure a space as we are expecting group walks to fill up fast! ⏰
We shall be doing two per day. One in the Worthing area and one in the Littlehampton area! 🌍

Other services are still available such as Cat Sitting, Small Animal Care, Reptile & Aquatic Care, & Home Visits 🏡

It is extremely important at this time of year to wash cat and dogs paws if they have been outside as the gritters are out in force!

Please be cautious and wash your pets feet and undercarriage following walks and being outside, the salt and grit used to de-ice roads and pavements can cause toxicity when they lick their paws and bodies.

🐶🐱Signs of salt toxicity may include: increased thirst and lethargy, please contact us immediately if you feel your pet is showing any of these symptoms.

😻😻AMAZING NEWS - DOBBY IS HOME😻😻
❤ AFTER NEARLY 2 MONTHS ❤

🐈 DOBBY HAS BEEN MISSING FROM BRENDON RD/PENTLAND RD/MENDIP RD AREA OF DURRINGTON SINCE 3RD JAN & IS GREATLY MISSED.
🐈 Dobby is 10 mths old & microchipped, but unable to be neutered due to medical factors which are ongoing, so it is imperative he is found soon for his veterinary appointment.
It is unusual for him to wander normally, so if you see Dobby, please call 07724 781430 ASAP - thank you & PLEASE SHARE 😻

As Northdale Vets have said.. Just a friendly reminder this lambing season. Any walks done in areas with livestock will be on lead :)

We’ve been made aware of reports of a substance washing up on local beaches. This has washed ashore in white lumps and could be palm oil.
Arun District council are aware. We advise that people don’t touch the substance and keep dogs away just incase it is palm oil which is highly toxic to dogs and can kill them within hours should they digest it.

ALAN HAS BEEN MISSING FROM THE ADUR AVENUE AREA OF SALVINGTON (DURRINGTON REC END) SINCE 9AM FRIDAY, 30TH NOVEMBER
He is 8 years old with distinctive nose markings, neutered, microchipped and wearing a blue reflective collar with disc when last seen. He has special dietery needs and it is very out of character for him to wander. I please urge every dog owner to have a read through this article about treats and what to avoid :)

There are always some pretty grim treats for sale but this time of year it really is a perfect excuse to off load the biggest load of toxic tat for our dogs to "enjoy" 🤢 as a treat.
Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas 😥

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China...

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn`t bad enough they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog 😞

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later 😉 then dispatch in the bin!
