💜 🐴 Seeking New Pastures 🐎 💜

Cherokee’s Indian Dancer, we call her Zapata. Absolutely Beautiful, well trained, experienced, super gaited, big powerful, amazing MFT mare. She is a black & white tobiano, registered Missouri Foxtrotter. 7 years old. 16 hands tall & built like a tank. She is UTD on vaccines & dewormed. Recently trimmed feet. Maiden mare. Size 3/2 shoes.
Z is tall, strong, & tough. She has been ridden elk/deer hunting, packed, ponied, tied out during the night while camping, crosses water, logs, good to load in trailer, good with farrier, easiest horse to catch, ridden double. She is a gas pedal horse, she goes whichever speed you tell her and it’s always smooth. She does a slow quarter horse walk, flat foot walk, foxtrot, canter. Has potential to even rack, we’ve just never taught her how. She is extremely friendly and loves attention.
No bad habits, no vices, just a great horse! When warmed up or used often she's about as perfect as they come. When not used for a while or fresh, she can be a little jumpy and full of energy, but easy to lunge and warm up. We don’t ride her very often and she just needs miles and a confident rider. She is a phenomenal animal and will make someone a great riding partner. Her pedigree is impeccable and her size is difficult to find in an MFT. She’s the full package!

Pickles” (our 3 year old named him 😉 )he is 13 years old and is dead-broke grade QH. 15 hands & 1100 #. Big, stout, muscled, & Great all round horse. He does it all- packs, ponies, rides lead, middle, and back of the group no problem. He is easy going and well-mannered in a herd. He has been used elk/deer hunting, pulling little kids on sleds, rides double, and mountain trail riding all over. He is very easy to catch, good with feet, UTD on shots/deworming, teeth floated & feet trimmed. No bad habits. He has never spooked or shied at anything since we’ve had him the last several years. They don’t come any more bomb proof. Let him sit all winter, then pull him out and go for a nice ride. He crosses water, downed timber, goes where you tell him at what speed you tell him to.
The only downside is he has a mild lameness issue that comes and goes, and will be aggravated if carrying too large a rider or cargo. We just ride too hard to keep him with this issue and want to find him a good home. He would be best suited to rider that doesn’t ride too hard or isn’t too big. Would be an excellent kids horse or a smaller adult who doesn’t ride long and hard like we do hunting and packing.

My name is Ami Crawford and I was riding horses before I could walk. My dad was a farrier, trainer, & horse breeder, so loving horses has been in my blood from the get-go. I started helping my dad train as a young teen and continued to ride all I could. I competed in several shows, though most of my riding was for pleasure enjoying the mountains. I studied Equine Science & Management at Utah State University and Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal, Dairy. & Veterinary Science, Emphasis is Equine Studies. I continued my education at Western Governors University and graduated with my MBA. Along the way, I have taught riding lessons to youth as well as adults and started my own horse breeding and training program. Since starting my family, I retired in the horse breeding, and am now branching out again to re-visit teaching riding lessons.
I'm so excited to begin this adventure and to meet you and your children. Learning how to ride a horse is not only fun, but it teaches valuable life lessons: hard-work, determination, and responsibility. These animals are special and when we work with them and care for them, they become some of our greatest friends. Horses are healing to the heart and mind.

Lobo is a 10 year old palomino quarter horse. Stands 15 hands. He is a great trail partner, who seems to never tire and will go all day. He walks out really nice. He goes through water, over logs & bridges, he ponies & packs. He has been ridden all over the Colorado mountains, some areas in Utah, and in arenas. He doesn't like to get caught when in pasture, so we keep him in a stall for ease. Easy keeper and friendly with other horses in pasture and on the trail. He can be jumpy sometimes and needs to be ridden more consistently for better behavior. Needs an intermediate to advanced rider. Up to date on deworming and vaccines. Recently shod.

This is by far one of the gentlest and friendliest foals we've ever seen. She is 2 days now and such a sweetheart. We've found her favorite rub spot, just above her withers. She bobs her head up and down whenever shes rubbed there...though let's be honest all rubs are good ones ;)
