Copper's Dream Animal Rescue focuses its work on pulling dogs from high kill shelters. We spay and neuter these animals, get them up to date on vaccinations, and then house them until loving, permanent homes can be found.

With great cuteness come great responsibility 🙌🏽. The not-so-fine-print: puppies are mobile shark-toothed babies without diapers, and extreme adorability still requires a ton of time investment in socialization and training. Mike and Tommie are up on the website now, adding some extra floof to the mix. Speaking of mixes… they’re part Husky ( ) so these are active little fluff balls. They’re very food motivated, sleeping through the night in their crate/pen, and still figuring out potty training + learning that not everything is meant for chewing. We were alerted to this super sweet girl from the Porterville shelter who got an extension until tomorrow, Wednesday 1/22, but we need to find a foster to bring her to safety. According to shelter staff, she’s very loving, polite taking treats, enjoys snuggles and fresh air time in the play yard. She loves to play with other dogs, and is great on leash - a smart girl ready to please. Phoebe is approx 1-2 years old, 75lb, and already spayed - ready for adoption. Our Story

Hi! Do you believe in second chances? Root for the underdog? Want to make a difference? You came to the right place. Whether it’s adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating - there are lots of ways to help out dogs in need.

We’re Copper's Dream Animal Rescue, and we focus our work on saving dogs who are most in need in overwhelmed shelters and finding them loving homes. All of our dogs live in volunteer foster homes until adopted, where we learn more about them, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and help find them their perfect human match.

Since our founding (inspired by a dog named Copper), we’ve saved over 4,600 dogs. And we couldn’t have done that without an amazingly dedicated team of volunteers, our superhero foster homes, our generous donors, and loving adopters.
