➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners

And remember - while microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

“As someone who was not a “reptile” girl, I was surprised at how quickly Henry won my heart! Lots of people wonder what he eats. He loves cilantro, sweet bell peppers, zucchini, green beans, kale, and of course his wormies are his favorite so I feed him greens first or he won’t eat them after the worms. Every once in a blue moon I’ll give him a bite of banana. He’s spoiled to hand feeding 🤪. He has never ever bit me, black bearded, head bobbed or shown any kind of aggression. I love him!”

Dogs most definitely grieve. We’ve had three long-time clients pets pass suddenly in the last month. They have other dogs who are completely grieving the loss of their companion dogs as much as their people are grieving. Today I got to try to make things a little easier for little Lizzie, who lost her companion Darcy. Her momma is working all day and Lizzie is noticeably depressed. She is so lost without him and it just BREAKS MY HEART. It did make me very happy to see her perk up a little bit at the midday visits I’m doing. I just took her out in the sunshine for a potty break sat with her and loved on her and spoke to her. I hope I fill their little hearts full of love and happiness as much as they fill mine.
