Excuse the matchy matchy ( I was expecting to have to hunt them down in the grass hence the colour)
My £6.99 purchase from eBay is currently coming up trumps as it’s almost been a week!
One touch fastening that lays flat so not easy for Dylan to pull!
Reasonable quality compared to some expensive brands I’ve tried.
So far so good 👍

Not posted for awhile so apologies but that doesn’t mean Dylan hasn’t been busy!
This week ( yes I know it’s Wednesday!) we have got through three pairs of over reach boots
The sparkle ones have now died a death, the shires Arma have been taken apart ( perhaps to see how many bits they can be broken into?)and the bridleway ones have had the Velcro removed and were found separately ( one in the field shelters and the other drowned in mud) I can only think the last ones were some sort of experiment I haven’t yet worked out!
Good news is we have a new teal pair coming from eBay as we are fast running out!

How was your ride today?
He was excited to practice and film a dressage test… and that was before I got on.
Atleast he looked smart.
After a little chat I explained that non of the moves were on the test and maybe we are not yet ready to explore freestyle 🫣

With 3 reindeer down with laminitis and a 4th suffering a foot abcess, there was no hesitation!
When Santa needed the fastest and most noble of steeds Dylan stepped up and redeemed himself for all those over reach boots he destroyed this year.
Tell your kids the presents 🎁 will be early tonight as Santa has a exracer on the payroll 😂

So not much to write about this weekend, mum spent some of my prize winnings on wormers for us all and also bought a little something for us to test.
I’m quite fussy when it comes to food and wasn’t keen at all when she said they contained carrot, mango and rose hip…. Mango!!
Well I tried one and I loved them… the girl chose well
On a scale of five carrots it’s 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 full carrots from me!
Abbey ( not fussy at all) said she will be happy to test further flavors in this range and gave them 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 carrots
And finally Nug who’s always on a restricted diet also gave them 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 partially as he has to be different but also cause he said the bag is biodegradable
Definitely try them!

Been a bitter sweet day for poor mum!
She was massively proud that I have won some big ribbons and prize money so she turned me out early!
Flies were a killer despite my fly suit and I accidentally took my shoe off trying to out run them.

So my review this evening is on the Shires Equestrian arma over reach boots

I was made to purchase these from my dressage winnings as mum said it was time I paid my way.
Apparently they were about the £10 mark ( that could have supplied me and Nug with plenty of carrots 🥕)
They come in a range of colours and I’m surprised we didn’t have something brighter as I like to hide them round the paddock. I feel it’s good brain stimulation for my owner whilst poo picking.

I was a little torn with these ( actually tearing them was easy)
Being a huge fan of Velcro I gave them a good test and on the occasion I did open them I managed to remove the lower Velcro strip.
I didn’t find them that easy to open so had to exert slightly more pressure and on my second boot I managed to spilt it in half.
The whole process took me about a week as at first I was reluctant to experiment too much as they came out of my carrot money.
So my overall rating is as follows

Value for money 🥕🥕🥕🥕
Velcro 🥕🥕🥕🥕
Thoroughbred test ability 🥕🥕
Mums fix ability - 🌱 ( no carrots I did a proper job)

Overall chance of buying them again for me 🥕🥕

Tomorrow I will review the PE Premier Equine International Ltd over reach boots

Having taken part earlier this week in a photo shoot for all of an hour I was washed out and needed a good nap after to help keep my good looks and wrinkles at bay!
I’ve done some sand dancing and even been out on hacks with snacks too ( I’m so looking forward to the boss going back to work)

Anyway I forgot to mention how much I really like the Shires Equestrian arma air boots!
Not only are they cool on my legs adding protection when I get the zoomies, but they are easy to fix apparently when I play with the Velcro!

That’s five carrots from me and you know I don’t give carrots away easily 🐴

Just Incase you thought he was being a good boy and had given up , it would appear this morning he was not only up to his tricks but had got the water 💦 trough involved as they were covered in mud!

Another warm one today ( not enjoying it much) mum treated me to a reiki session ( I do love them) not sure what she does but bang I can’t keep my eyes open!
I find it relaxing, a real treat.

Meanwhile dads had the horse box out and cleaned 🧼 it inside and out ( not that I’m going in it 😆it would be rude to get it dirty.

Relaxation Sunday!
Having stuffed myself all night - and most the week I decided to have a little sneaky lay in.
My human was not so impressed as she turned up to ride early to film this months dressage and beat the heat and flies of which I’m not a huge fan! Sorry mum ( but look at all the jobs she fitted in whilst waiting for me)
I’m also still quite proud of my new overreach boots of which I paid for out of my Dressage Addict prize money, so I haven’t experimented with them yet but for those keen science fans out there I have been testing Nugs fly mask this week for Velcro stickability and easy removal ( whilst Nug is wearing it of course) I’m happy to confirm that Shires Equestrian have so far given me my best results.
I’ve also been testing rein chewability and will confirm my results in a week or two.

So following a very successful couple of dressage tests he also won 🏆 vouchers and has treated the guys to more kevin bacon and has purchased his very own overreach!
So we could say he’s now funding his own research!
Tonight he’s gone out proudly in his boots… god only knows what they will look like tomorrow!

🥕 carrots are off the menu this morning!
It would seem mum wasn’t specific enough when she said don’t damage your boots….
I didn’t realize that also stood for don’t touch anything Nugget might be wearing… so I removed his fly mask…. And I removed a over reach
Anyway carrots 🥕 or not I was really impressed with the Velcro on the Shires Equestrian fly mask as no matter how I pulled, it still remained fixed and was easy to remove. A positive in the event Nug had become tangled somehow ( mum didn’t seem too impressed)
