I want to share a memorial posted to my website Time2saygoodbye.com expressing thanks to the compassion shown by David, Joseph and the team at Cherry Tree Pet Crematorium. I would also like to personally thank the team for their empathy and professionalism shown to everybody that unfortunately finds themselves having to use their services. They do a great job in often very difficult circumstances. Thank you from Nigel and Angela at Time2saygoodbye. Your help is much appreciated.

ROXY

In loving memory of my dear Roxy.
I had to make the awful decision recently to let my gorgeous girl go due to old age and ill health.
Thank you to Nigel and Cherry Tree for their compassion and help to do the right thing at a difficult time.
She left us in the comfort of our home surrounded by family (with tears rolling down cheeks), but it was the perfect end which she truly deserved after being a member of our family and my best friend for 13 years.
Love you forever Roxy ###x

Now more than ever is it important to say farewell to your much loved dog or cat at home where your pet is most relaxed and comfortable surrounded by all the family. All care and intention is taken to ensure this is done as safely as possible. Please let me know if anyone has symptoms or is self isolating.

**Remember Our Love**

I was chosen today
I'm learning to fly
The world took me away,
But please don't cry
And I chose you today
To try and be strong
So please don't you cry
And don't say that I'm gone
When you're feeling alone
Just remember our love,
I'm looking up near the stars
Looking down from above.
Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
That I'm still here beside you
When you're thinking of me

I was happy I could come to your home Kirsty and give Diesel a peaceful and gentle farewell in your arms. I know Diesel will be greatly missed by all the family. Take care. Nigel

Having your beloved dog or cat put to sleep in the vets carpark or even worse in the practice with you not being present, is common place in these Covid-19 times.
You can avoid this distressing way to say goodbye. Have your pet euthanised at home with all your family members present by calling Time2SayGoodbye. The stress free, gentle, and kind way to say farewell to your companion.

HOW TO HELP A GRIEVING PET

The death of a pet can herald a challenging time when you’re trying to anticipate everyone’s needs and emotions. As well as your own grief, your children may need support or you could have a partner who shares your overwhelming sense of loss.

For many people, another consideration is the well-being of a grieving pet.

How can you help them? Is there anything, in particular, they need from you? Is their grief impacting on their health in some way?

These are all common concerns.

TEN WAYS TO SUPPORT A LOVED ONE WHO IS GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A PET

One of the toughest aspects of grieving for a pet is that people often feel very alone and unsupported in their loss.

Sadly, a bereaved pet carer might be given a day off work and receive a few sympathy cards before they’re expected to put their loss behind them and get back to normality. Yet, in reality, the loss of a pet can be as devastating as the loss of a human companion.

Saying goodbye to your best friend

A new home visiting dog euthanasia, cat euthanasia and rabbit euthanasia service provided by Dr Nigel Bradfield MRCVS. Nigel has worked in small animal practice in Kent for nearly 30 years . He now wishes to offer a gentle and pain free euthanasia service in Kent and parts of East Sussex 7 days a week often at short notice. Nigel has been providing euthanasia services in the surgery and home for 38 years and he knows there is nowhere better to have your much loved pet put to sleep than in your own arms and in favourite place in your own home. Avoid the stress of that visit to the vet practice and an often hurried appointment, to be in your home with all your family members present who wish to be there. Your other pets can also be present and it is thought that some pets have the capacity to recognise death and be able to mourn the loss of a companion.

Nigel recently sold his small animal practice to dedicate his time to this home visiting service which is desperately needed especially in these Covid times. An appointment can be made at your convenience including evenings and weekends. This service, at times when he is not available, will be provided by an experienced colleague whom he has known for 40 years. Both vets have undergone further training by CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training) using the most modern and gentle sedative techniques approved by the American Veterinary Medical Association to provide a pain free and relaxed passing.

You don’t need to be registered with us to use our service. Knowing when the time may be right for euthanasia is very complicated. Please make a no obligation call where Nigel can discuss quality of life, the procedures involved and aftercare preparations.
