Fireworks have begun! 🎆 And my dogs are quite anxious! 😱

Did you know more dogs end up in the shelter on the Fourth of July than any other single day of the year? That's because they try to escape the chaos. To them, our celebration is a war zone!

Try these anxiety-reducing techniques to help calm your dog during this stressful holiday:
👉 Give them a chew toy or treat -- chewing reduces anxiety in dogs!
👉 Try an over-the-counter calming aid that has Melatonin and/or Valerian Root. (They are scientifically studied!)
👉 Visit your vet for a prescription if the OTC calming aids don't work.
👉 Keep them at home in their safe space and make sure they have an ID on them just in case they run.

What technique works for your pup? Enjoy the holiday and know that your dog will feel better if they feel safe.

It's true -- cats and dogs can get along. 🥰 October and Orion are proof!

Three years ago, these two would fight like cats and dogs 😏 -- going so far as to being chased up a tree -- TWICE! So, of course, October developed trust issues with dogs. It took several weeks to train these two not to attack him. Still, although they all get along harmoniously now, they don't usually lay this close to each other. 😂 It's a miracle in the works!

These three would charge the door, bark and jump when someone came over.

❤️ AFTER ❤️
In six sessions, they now go to their crates, lay down quietly, and patiently wait to be released individually.
