META Fish

I hate to post bad news but here is the story and maybe others can learn from it. Long story short our boiler on demand hot water and home heating unit was leaking natural gas. We decided to replace it entirely vs trying to fix because it has had many failures over the 4 years since it was installed (true lemon). Sunday night I was feeding fish and cleaning tanks. I accidently left our auto water change system on when I came upstairs for the night. I've made this mistake in the past and all that happens is the fish get large water changes with no issues. This time however the newly installed heating unit was "smart" enough that calling for domestic water heat all night must be an error so it stopped heating. In the morning we awoke to 60 tanks hovering around 50 to 60 degrees water temp with freezing cold water still being added to the tanks. We jumped into action saving many tanks however we lost some very special fish. We probably won't be opening the website for some time... 😢

Pleased to offer for the first time our hobbyist bred and raised Millenium Rainbowfish! These are the full red rainbows. Hobbiest rainbows are very rare for a variety of reasons and dont come along often. They are about 3/4", some males are starting to color. Readily eating micro pellets and flake now. Local pickup only until Spring. Take care!

Our latest project I'm super excited about. Millenium Rainbowfish fry. These guys are slow growers and won't be ready for 7 to 9 months but are stunning imo.
