Please, Please, Please check your dog's toenails frequently. This poor Yorkie had toenails so long that they were almost in a full circle and some of the other nails were actually caught in the circle of the longest nail. SO PAINFUL FOR YOUR DOG.

Imagine how it would feel to walk on toenails that touched the ground before your foot did.

When I groomed at my friend's grooming shop I would see this mostly on smaller dogs. Sometimes the nail would actually have started to grow into the pad of the dog. Just think how terribly painful that must be.
