Horsemanship & Groundwork … the binding and most important foundational principles of establishing a solid & clear communication / relationship between horse and human. I love teaching my clients how to connect heartfully with clear intention with their horse counterpart. It’s beautiful to watch the trust build and true friendship built on trust & respect .
Working on handling and some ground manners for this yearling friesian for my client . He has been so much fun to work with and has been enjoying his training in hand sessions with me.
This 3 year old has been in training with me for 5 weeks now and was started back up after having several months off last year after being backed ( walk /trot). I have developed his lope and am thrilled with his lightness off the aids ( I don’t wear spurs ), and his super work ethic. I believe in developing both sides of the horse laterally and longitudinally , this makes their carrying power from behind true and allows them to easily pick up leads, side pass, and leg yield equally on both sides . My approach to young horse starting and developing is as physiological as it is mental for the horse. A thinking horse is a horse that’s with you and that to me is the platform for which all other training follows.
