On my way home (2 hour car ride and I hate car rides) from my follow up appointment for my torn knee ligament with some good news! While there’s still some inflammation, I have improved overall, and there is no instability in my knee! I’m allowed to get back to normal with 20-30 minute walks, and the humans just keep on doing what they’ve been doing! Surgery may happen in the future, but for right now I am good to go!! The last 6 weeks have gone well and I am my normal self again with playing and being a happy potato! Dad human says “normal” is subjective… I don’t get it. Much love, friends! UPDATE: This is the face of a girl that does NOT need surgery!! Best possible outcome that we didn’t even think was a possibility.

I have a very early partial acl tear, but not significant enough to warrant surgery. Surgeon believes doing physical therapy and rest like what we’ve been doing will get the scar tissue developed enough that the knee will be protected if/when it does tear. Knee is not moving which is great, and scar tissue will allow it to not move as well. So limit jumping and regular rest with small 5-10 min walks for a month. Then follow up in 6 weeks to make sure things are still good!

Guess who has 4 paws, started limping, and has been diagnosed with a partially torn CCL (dog ACL) and needs surgery?? April 12th consultation, surgery within a week after that. The humans have to “try” to keep me calm and resting, and keep giving me meds to “slow me down” until then… good luck. They got me a dog ramp so that’s nice

This? This is gonna suck. Will keep you updated on the process, friends! Mom and dad do have pet insurance for me, highly recommend

I am in the cone of shame! For a few days, at least. I have a small infection around the eye from rubbing it because of allergies. My good friend Dr. Latham checked me out, and my eye is completely fine! just have some meds and drops to heal the infection, and it sadly means a cone. The humans are enjoying watching this. Dad saw me struggling to get to my food bowl… so he put a bunch of kibble in my cone…I shall get my revenge
