𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐨!  
 
It’s been one year since the we took our first steps on the Ultimutt Walk. 
 
Probably a good time to review how the past year has gone. 
 
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤: 
 
London to Seville on foot. 
 
13th September - 29 November 2021. 
 
One of if not the best experience of our lives. 75 days of physical and emotional challenges but we would not change one thing about it. 
 
Total raised - £8500 (€9800) across three charities. 
 
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: 
 
The Ultimutt walk has transformed into ‘The Ultimutt Series’. Continuing to raise 
money but we believe that we’ve probably walked enough for the time being. 
 
The first event saw David Sharp, a Pruna 🇪🇸 resident swim over 1500 lengths of a 25m pool. That’s just shy of 40km!  
 
This huge swim has so far raised in excess of €1070 which has been donated to @….. 
 
Huge congratulations to David on such a fantastic achievement. 
 
What’s next? 
 
Well, truth be told, we’ve been a little busy with a wedding recently, that’s right! Mr and Mrs Ultimutt Walk got married! 💍 This has however taken up the majority of our time and event planning as well as our social channels have suffered as a result. 
 
Good news though! We’re already planning the second event in The Ultimutt Series with more and more people wanting to get involved.  
 
Super exciting times ahead!

SMASHED IT!

1000 lengths for €1000.

Lots of hard work, lots of commitment but never in doubt.

Today Dave finished his 1000th length raising money for - who continue their amazing work rescuing and re-homing Dogs and Cats in an around the area.

Incredible effort, Dave. Really good to see the guys from as well as many other locals show their support.

Looking forward to the next event!

ULTIMUTT SERIES SWIM

Ultimutt Team member David Sharp is currently challenging himself to swim 1000 lengths of Pruna’s 25 meter pool with the aim of raising money for La Huella Verde, a charity extremely close to our heart. You may remember that La Huella Verde do amazing work rescuing and re-homing dogs and cats on a shoestring budget.

David is currently at the halfway mark of his swim and is looking stronger than ever.

It’s a hugely challenging test and all for an amazing cause.

This special lad turns 7 today 🎉

Dave, not many dogs have achieved what you have, aside from the constant joy you bring to everyone you come across, you completed a huge 1300 mile walk across Europe and didn’t even flinch.

Not all superheroes wear capes.

We had the wonderful opportunity to visit the lovely during our downtime after

The amazing volunteers do such an incredible job with these poor dogs that haven’t had the best of luck.

Their past was sometimes uncomfortably visible, some with gunshot wounds, some with injuries from being beaten, all had arrived at the shelter in a terrible state.

Somehow the team keep them fed, medicate those in need and above all else keep them happy, all on an extreme shoestring budget.

These dogs don’t have much, but they’re happy and much better off than they previously were.

This is why we want to and will continue to help (see our last video post). We’re in the planning stages, we have lots of suggestions in our messages and comments (keep them coming, they’re amazing).

Much more to come, This team has so much more to give.

WHAT NEXT?

“THE ULTIMUTT WALK”

becomes….

“THE ULTIMUTT SERIES”

We’ve been thinking, we’ve had such an amazing experience on The Ultimutt Walk, it’s not only been positive for the charities who benefit from the donations, but it’s also been positive for us.

Long story short… we want to keep this going.

Not necessarily the walk, 11 weeks walking is probably enough for now… but we’re keen to keep raising money for those amazing charities who need it the most.

What does that mean? At this moment, we’re not 100% sure what the next chapter looks like, but we’re committed to taking on a new challenge at least once a year to continue to help rescue charities who need it the most. This could be solo events or those where we put a team together.

Over the coming weeks you’ll continue to see the huge amount of The Ultimutt Walk content we’ve yet to show you, but you’ll also see some changes to this page. A little rebrand and some mind-mapping around the next challenge.

Looking forward to the many more adventures to come!

As if we needed a reminder as to why The Ultimutt Walk and your kind donations are so, so important.

Today, Isabelle and I took a stroll around town and came across this beautiful girl who can’t be much older than 6 months old, very underweight with minor injuries, she’s clearly been dumped and left to fend for herself.

Despite her torrid situation, she has the nicest nature, all she wanted was to sit and play with us.

Luckily, the amazing team at despite being overloaded with many cases just like this, were able to take her in.

This doesn’t mean she’s out of the woods just yet, as lovely and happy as she seemed, she still needs to be checked over and no guarantees around health can be made. We await updates which of course we will share.

Again, this situation is exactly what The Ultimutt Walk was designed to highlight, raise funds for and help, and exactly why all of those who have donated and supported should feel proud to be helping with these situations.

Thanks team, it means to world us!

The Ultimutt Walk…. DONE!

So… yesterday at just after midday we made it to the Finish line in Pruna, Seville.

It’s safe to say that we were completely overwhelmed by the reception from everyone involved. The residents, locals, , the Mayors office and authorities did everything they could to welcome us.

We have so much more to share with you from the walk and arrival in Pruna. We have a packed Ultimutt Walk schedule whilst we’re here with plenty more updates.

HELLO ANDALUCÍA!

Final week, final region, final effort. This coming Friday (26th November) we will be arriving in Pruna. We’re all pretty much spent physically and mentally but we’re determined to see this through.

I’ll say it again, the messages of support, comments of encouragement as well as the generous donations help us more than you’ll ever know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

1000 MILES DONE! 🎉

We reached the milestone either yesterday morning, or Thursday evening…Can’t be sure when exactly, just working too damn hard!

We’re all hugely ecstatic, just a few hundred miles left to the finish line.

We now begin moving towards Ciudad Real, should be there on Monday.
