MARVIN IS STILL LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!!!

He has made great progress in the last few weeks and shown play interest towards his foster carer.

Marvin is located in NSW and is looking for a home with other dogs where he can be independent.

“Marvin is a young Koolie X who has had a tough start to life.
Due to this he can be untrusting of people.

Marvin likes his own space and will slowly trust to approach his people but this will take a matter of weeks or even months.

ADOPTED

Jet is a very loved pet dog that due to a change in his owners circumstance is seeking a new home.

Jet is a 4 year old desexed male. He loves people and other dogs. He has met children and is fine with them but can jump when he meets people as he gets excited.

He walks well on leash but needs some work on his off leash recall.

He enjoys swimming and playing ball and currently spends time alone in his backyard and is able to self entertain well.

Jet is currently located in Victoria. Transportation may be arranged for a suitable applicant.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE. THIS BOY NOW HAS A FUREVER HOME TO HEAD TO. SO MANY PEOPLE OPENED THEIR HEARTS TO HIM AND OFFERED HIM A WARM BED. I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!!

There is an older Koolie in a pound who is not coping very well. Is there anybody able to give him a warm bed and a loving home to see out his days.

Is anyone driving North that may be able to assist?
Even to Brisbane or Rockhampton would be very helpful.

Thank you everyone for responding to our call for help. Millie is leaving the pound today and travelling to a wonderful foster home.

I thought I would try another call for assistance. I have a boy with me just outside of Canberra. He is booked in for his medicals on 27th April and will have a home to go to when he recovers. I have a full house, and he is currently in an outside pen. If you are close to Queanbeyan and have the capacity to have him before his op and possibly for his recovery, I can promise he would give you lots of love and cuddles. He is a young boy and quite active. He would love to be with someone who is at home through the day.

Urgent!

Looking for a foster carer!

Located central coast NSW about an hour from Sydney.

About to turn 12 months old male.

Very social, loves the beach and bush walks.

He has been trained on leash and commands however he isn’t 100% great yet- it’s a working process.

Never had any behavioural issues or aggression.

He is very friendly and gentle.

He is toilet trained, sleeps inside, he is a very sweet and friendly dog and loves attention. Great with children, would make a perfect family dog.

Can tend to bark when home alone.

We are in need of a foster carer or a forever home for Martin urgently.

Please be aware he has been in a loving home. Due to circumstances out of his control we need to move him.

Martin's about two and a half years old and desexed. He has been posted on here before.

He is super motivated by toys and food - which makes working with him much easier

Loves to work and have a job to do (very much likes to please his handler through offering of behaviours or problem solve with food puzzles, etc)

Whilst he can be very get up and go at times - he is actually quite happy to be a very lazy dog and will just lay around for days on end if you are happy to snuggle and hang out with him. Or a short run each day is almost enough.

He is also good with manual handling

Adoption Home -

If we were able to ask Martin what his ideal day would be, we can pretty much guarantee his answer would be ‘whatever involves you’!

Martin is a lovely guy to have around. Whilst he is always up for physical activity and adventures he really doesn't need too much and just loves to be with his people and hang out.

He melts into pats and will happily snuggle on the couch ALL day with you.

He thrives on direction and loves to learn new things. Super motivated for toys, food and affection which makes training him very fun. He will very easily learn new tricks.


He's is a social boy but can feel either unsure, anxious or overstimulated by other dogs.

He often lacks the skill of “reading the room” making him most suitable as an only dog – who will give you his all.

The ideal home would be someone who has a good sense of humour and will join in with his goofy antics – a home that appreciates his awesomeness but also provides him with clear structure and an ongoing commitment to manage his needs.

Martin is located on the south coast of NSW.

ELLIE

This happy fun loving girl is ready to go to her new home.

She is a very fast learner, and could be a good sporting prospect. She loves to play tug and is starting to play frisbee.
Her energy levels are high, but she has an ‘off-switch’ and will settle quietly to wait for the next game.

Although she has lived with another dog, she would prefer to be in a single dog home where she can have all the attention to herself.
She is still jumping up in her excitement to see people so probably would not be suited to a home with small children.

Transport can be arranged for the right home, currently located near Canberra.

Spice is heading off to her new furever home. She will be living her best life with a wonderful family who are long time friends of Australian Koolie Rescue.

Spice is looking for her new forever home. She’s around 4 years old.

She loves attention and would be much better suited to an only dog scenario but can run in a group although she seeks a lot of attention . She loves human company and can be challenging when there is competition for attention.

She is great with other animals once the new animal excitement has worn off but she can get bored and a little disobedient if left alone.

But can also be very obedient when called will sit on command and stay.

She tries to make owner very happy, and just loves being with you.

She is house trained. A person with time initially to spend with her would make her a fantastic mans best friend.

Jumps on tractor
Rounds up cows and sheep but a bit full on…tends to scatter them a bit
Very happy girl with a real zest for life
Heaps of control now

Has a good off switch
Has normal Koolie prey drive (chickens etc)

Really needs a person to bond with
Would be great for a fun loving sports person or herding person

Not suitable for elderly or small children as can be exuberant
