The African Spurred Tortoise, commonly known as the Sulcata Tortoise, originates from the southern region of the Sahara Desert.
The word "sulcata" comes from Latin and means "furrow." It refers to the ridges that are present on the tortoise's shell in between each scute.
Interestingly, this species of tortoise is capable of surviving for weeks without food or water. When it finally finds a source of water, it can drink up to 15 percent of its body weight!
Myth: Bearded dragons should always stay in their enclosure.
Truth: Keeping your bearded dragon locked up all the time is not natural and can lead to extreme boredom and unhappiness. These pets thrive on spending time with their owners and love to explore.

They are a fairly hardy snake species that can be perfect for beginner and experienced reptile keepers.
They love to burrow underground using their adorable "hog-nose" as a shovel. Unlike many other snakes, this species is naturally awake during the day.
Blue-tongue skinks are forest-floor dwelling lizards. They have large, smooth, flat scales, and a bright blue tongue.
These skinks are comfortable with human interaction and handling, but they usually take time to get used to it. If you directly grab your skinks, it can cause them stress.
Instead, they should be gently scooped up with both hands so that their legs are supported. If your skink seems hesitant or displays its tongue, it's best to wait and try again another time.

The green anaconda is a beautiful species with varying shades of military green and semi-regular dark circular dorsal blotches running along its length.
If raised properly, captive-bred anacondas can make calm and easy-to-handle pets.
However, it's important to note that they grow significantly and possess immense strength. Therefore, this species is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 or for those who lack sufficient experience working with large constrictors.
