Exciting Update!
Salty Paws Stone Harbor reached out and wanted to join the event! They will be at the shelter from 4pm-6pm handing out free dog and cat ice cream!

Don't Forget! Tuesday December 5th Santa will be at the shelter with his Elf from 2pm-6pm! Get your picture taken for $5, pictures will be given out at time of event, residents are welcome to bring animals you already have! Animal holiday sweaters and other small items available, snacks too!

It’s December 1st! We hope that many of the dogs that are with us will be adopted and have a new home for the holidays, but we want to make sure the dogs who stay with us get a visit from Santa, too!

We have attached wish lists to every dog’s bio on our website’s adoption page. To send a gift to any of the dogs, click on their link and shop away! Please remember to include a gift note so we know who sent gifts and which dog the gift is for (some dogs have duplicate items) - a lot of packages arrive without any names attached and we feel bad that we can’t thank the sender.

Every dog has a personalized stocking that will be hung on their kennels and we hope to fill every one of them with your help!

The dogs will open their gifts Christmas week and we’ll make sure to post a lot of videos!

Hello to all my lovely followers and friends!

As you may have noticed, and read in a previous update, I am unable to return to full time grooming, at this time. I do plan on returning to it full time in the future, but for now, I am focusing on healing after my stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.

However, due to the new dog virus going around, as well as some people worrying about the spread of the flu/Covid this holiday season, combined with it being difficult to get appointments for the pups for the holidays, I would like to offer touch ups in between grooms.

I am also available to teach owners how to maintain and even groom their pups themselves. Brushing, combing, clipping and grinding nails, clipper work, scissor work - whatever you may be interested in, I do not mind giving tutorials!

Anyone interested would have to bathe their own pups, and I would offer to trim them up at my home. I am able to do dogs up to 30 pounds with my personal equipment. Please DM me for more information, if you are interested.

Who better to put in charge of quality assurance than a shelter pup?! 🦃🦃

Our pups are looking to spend their Thanksgiving holiday in a home where they can enjoy the doggy safe goodies and the festivities! We have so many amazing dogs that promise to be wonderful house guests! Did you know that short breaks from the shelter greatly increases adoptability in shelter animals? These breaks give them time to relax and decompress allowing them to show their best self to potential adopters. It is so crucial for their well-being and so rewarding for their foster families as well! ❤️

today i spent the day getting recertified in pet cpr and first aid! your pets health and safety is super important to me, always, and i’m proud to be able to say i’m certified!

the class was wonderful, the instructor was great. very informative and helpful! so thank you to steve the instructor as well as my boss, jill, who hosted the class at the shop.

almost time to start growing ferris out for the fall/winter again! anyone else keep their pups long during the colder months? or do you want to? a LOT of time and effort goes into maintaining the coat. at this length, i barely have to brush her (even with being in and out of the pool) but as she grows longer, it requires much more work on my part to PREVENT matting BEFORE it happens. you need at the bare minimum a good slicker brush and a metal comb. i line brush her coat every day once it starts growing out, following up the brushing with a comb out of her entire coat nose to tail!

have questions about coat maintenance at home between grooming? feel free to ask! remember it is the owners job to MAINTAIN the coat at home. it is the groomer’s job to STYLE it. 🐶🐾

New Life Animal Rescue's 9th annual "Gone to the Dogs" Craft Fair & Family Festival!! Burlington County’s fastest growing event and the largest event of its kind!

This event has seen over 8,000 people in attendance and the 50/50 raffle has been over $25,000!!!

This year’s event will be held on SATURDAY OCTOBER 7, 2023 at the Burlington County Fairgrounds from 10am-4pm.
Conveniently located where Rte 206 and Jacksonville-Jobstown Rd meet, easily accessible from major highways!
