teeny tiny bailey weighed just 8 pounds when he came for his first puppy intro/mini groom appointment! doesn’t he look handsome? 🥺

the puppy intro package is basically the same as our mini groom and is PERFECT for a puppy’s first time at the grooming salon! puppy’s should have their first appointment no later that 4 months, 5 months is even starting to push it. the longer you wait, the scarier it is for them. our puppy intro package does not take any hair off of the body, so you still get to keep the puppy fluff a little longer. 😉 but they will get ears and nails done, a bath and introduction to the blow dryer, an intro to the clipper by shaving the paw pads and sanitary areas, and an intro to the scissors by rounding the paws and neatening the face.

remember while they are still very curious and wiggly babies, groomings may not look “perfect” - the main focus will always be safety and as little stress on the pup as possible.

nala looking absolutely adorable with her pink bandana and bows in her ears!!! and those lashes! 🫶🏻 she’s a sweet gal and i enjoy working with her every time i get her on my schedule. she can be nervous about grooming but has come such a long way and im so very proud of her. 🩷

i believe it’s important to work at each individual pups own pace and work within their limits to help them guild confidence on the grooming table. ✂️

ferris is also pictured wearing a happy hoodie which is a towel-like “hoodie” for pups to wear that muffles the loud noise of the dryers we use at work. it can be scary for some dogs! this makes it easier for them to tolerate. once the sound is muffled, a lot of dogs turn into big brave pups. 🐶

look at that face? who couldn’t love that sweetie wheatie face!!! this is my best boy, colby. he’s anxious when it comes to the grooming process so we always go at his pace; but that doesn’t stop him from running up to me with excitement when i go out to talk to his owner at drop off!

but that’s what this job is all about, isn’t it? creating bonds not just with the owners, but with the wonderful dogs they have that we have the privilege of working with. 😍

chewie is such a cute schnauzer! chewie does not get any grooming loops around his neck, requested by his owner. in cases like this, we can put the grooming loop under/around one leg like a harness so that it puts no pressure on the throat/neck. discuss with your groomer if this is an option you’re pup may need. 🐾

i also recently got “trach saver” grooming loops at the hershey grooming convention! these don’t go on the neck/throat at all and instead slip onto both front legs like a harness. secure and safe, this grooming loop puts absolutely no pressure on the dog’s throat. very great product for any dogs with trachea issues or the really small teeny tiny pups. 🐶

miss lucy and mister charlie - the adorable and lovable sibling duo! i always look forward to have these pups on my table to work with. they have such cute personalities! and they always come out looking so darn cute. ♥️

🛁 they get bathed in our hypo shampoo which is great for sensitive pups! it has no scents but still gets them squeaky clean. if you’d like this as an option at your pups next appointment, make sure to let your groomer know! 🫧

Does your dog have leftover medication? We'll take them! As long as they're not expired, of course. Just send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll tell you where you can drop them off or arrange for a volunteer to come pick them up from you. We’ll take anything you have lying around! Experienced Dog Groomer

I started off as a dog bather in July 2015 and became a dog groomer in August 2016. I was trained to groom all breeds of dogs and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, big and small. For dogs that had trouble standing on the grooming table because they were too old/sick to stand for long periods of time, I would groom them on the floor to keep them safe and comfortable throughout the grooming process. I am always doing my best to make the dogs look, and feel, their best. I have experience shaving matted dogs and also doing longer cuts which require more scissor work. I also know how to cut/grind nails, pluck ears, brush teeth, do flea baths, and express a**l glands. Currently working at The Prince And The Pawper in Ma**lapan, NJ!
