On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, my mom, one of my brothers, and myself went to Charleston Springs Farm in Millstone, New Jersey. It was the best way to start the new year. We got to meet their two absolutely adorable highland cows, in a safe environment that was just us, no crowd of people. With my cancer treatment, I am very immunocompromised (to my clients, you may have noticed my wearing a mask at appointment pick up/drop off), and try to avoid being around any sort of crowd. I wear a mask any time I leave the house.

Those who know me know I love animals. I grew up on farms and around horses and farm animals from the age of 3. I’ve spent countless hours volunteering to help with therapeutic horseback riding lessons, for child and adults, over the years as well. I always felt most at peace at the farm with the horses.

I know with my cancer I will never be able to ride again, but when we visited the farm, I was able to walk one of the ponies. Not very far, just a few feet in a small loop, but I almost wanted to cry with joy. It had been so long since I had any contact with horses. It felt like being “home” again - because the farm was always my home away from home.

If you ever are looking for something to do, keep an eye on their social media for events. I highly recommend supporting this local farm. They showed kindness, compassion, and understanding. It was honestly the best start to the new year I ever could have asked for.

🚨 now offering hair dye for dogs 🚨 since my trying dye with miss ferris went well (it was my first time so not perfect but i like the result enough to offer it to clients), and after discussing with my lovely boss, jill, we have decided to offer a bit of color into our extras! please read whole post for info. - dogs must have been to a minimum or 2 appointments with me before we do dye. this is so i can learn if they are comfortable on the table, relaxed in the bath, and not afraid of the dryer. i will not dye dogs that are not comfortable with the entire grooming process! i am willing to work with them to get them comfortable, but if they never fully are, please be understanding that i will not force your pup to be comfortable. humanity over vanity ALWAYS. - the dye i use is @opawz please dm me or call the shop or ask at your next appointment to discuss potential colors. be aware that there WILL BE A CHARGE for dye. price will depend on size of the area being dyed. for reference, two ears will be less than dying four feet. - please also understand that this is new for me. i am still learning. i cannot offer anything super fancy (i am not @gabrielfeitosagrooming and sadly cannot turn your pup into a giraffe or zebra 🤪 do give him a follow though he’s lovely!) and for your pup, at least for now, let’s keep it simple. - if you have questions, feel free to reach out to me in a message or call the shop. i am more than happy to discuss the process with you if it’s not something you’ve ever had done to your pup. i like to keep a pretty open door when it comes to grooming! i am always happy to answer questions. 🐩❤️

Experienced Dog Groomer

I started off as a dog bather in July 2015 and became a dog groomer in August 2016. I was trained to groom all breeds of dogs and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, big and small. For dogs that had trouble standing on the grooming table because they were too old/sick to stand for long periods of time, I would groom them on the floor to keep them safe and comfortable throughout the grooming process. I am always doing my best to make the dogs look, and feel, their best. I have experience shaving matted dogs and also doing longer cuts which require more scissor work. I also know how to cut/grind nails, pluck ears, brush teeth, do flea baths, and express a**l glands. Currently working at The Prince And The Pawper in Ma**lapan, NJ!
